How'd it go today?

All I can say to that is what my ex wife did .During the summer of 88 it was hot as blazes .The old gal sold Avon and did very well at it but she was stubborn as a mule.
She'd leave her Escort wagon idling in the hot sun so the air would work and keep those cosmetics from melting .Cracked the freakin cylinder head which set me back 1600 bucks to get fixed .

Well I did see a real garage sale once .Somebody was trying to sell one but it had to moved .Maybe not a bad deal but the clown wanted as much for it as it would take to build a new one .I passed .

She really needed to have payed attention more than anything .I told that woman what would happen to an aluminum head of a car with an electric fan in 100 degree weather .Of course as usual I didn't know what I was talking about .:what:

Now some years later I'll be damned if my second and present wife's son didn't do the same damned thing .Except it was a broken belt that ran the water pump and that was on a cast iron head on another 4 cylinder Ford .They just won't heed good advice or I'm not as acertive as I should be .I had to fix that SOB too .

I just got back from camping in Kennedy Meadows for the weekend with our church's men's retret. Our drive-in in Ceres finally closed last year. The snack bar burned down and they didn't rebuild it.

Getting back to the porno drive-in.... I had to go through the snack bar to get to the pay phone. There were some creepy looking characters in there. It might have been a meeting place. :/:

Oh Lawdy my wifes oldest son once worked in a "toy store " selling all kinds of apparati for consenting adults .He had car trouble once and I picked him up from work .Those weirdos tried to pan handle me about half a dozen times .Evidently the scowl on my face was enough for them to tuck tail and run before I loosed the dogs of war on them .:what:

.. .They just won't heed good advice or I'm not as acertive as I should be .I had to fix that SOB too .

More like you need to stop fixing their mistakes, let them go to a mechanic and pay full rate, good way to learn the error of their ways.

Feeling a little worn out and just took today off and read a book. Got most of what I wanted to get done before the memorial service finished anyway. What little is left to do can happen tomorrow morning.

Going to have a beer, watch a movie and hit the sack.

Had to take mama Dar to the medical center .Last week in that Ky heat and in and out of air conditioning gave the poor gal a case of bronchitis .That retention of fluid caused by her lymphatic condition doesn't help either .

Been home in and out of bed all day, running a pretty good fever, hopfully this is over soon.

Had a great memorial service today. I thought every one hired did a really good job.The video they made had me tearing a bit. Had many people over to my house after the service for food & such (a few closer ones stayed for beers later). Lots of visiting and old friendships being reborn. All in all it was a good day. Tomorrow is interment, and have to take final test for class I'm taking.

Had short ceremony at interment (just immediate family) this morning.

Stopped and looked at an old drum chipper on the way home. Its an older Rayco that a friend of mine just went through to make sure it is all operational and is selling for Habitat for Humanity. Price is $3500, runs great but needs a set of knives.

Took final test for econ class this afternoon. Should end up with 90-95% for the whole class.:)

Ten days off now before Fall semester starts. Think I am going to see how much of my house I can get sided. It's part done already but I want to finish it before the snow flies this year. Also hoping I can get an outdoor wood burner installed before Winter but not sure I can swing it yet this year, I'll know more about that in a few days or so. i have information on them coming from several companies anyway so I can look it over and get a better idea of what I might want to do.

I filed my appeal yesterday, so I'll see how it goes. Today, I ran errands worked a little bit more on a landscape design for my great uncle. Here in a bit, I'll be heading out to meet him at the other house, and go over it.

Just finished replacing the 3 belts on the chipper, had to order them from the mainland. Also, finishing the app for the BCMA for October... time to hit the books again!

jp:D

I am seriously overbooked now, yet I can't really wrap my head around how to expand my business. I'm about 6-7 weeks out and am really feeling stressed about staying on schedule and not losing work because I can't get at it fast enough.

Heh there could be worse problems I know.

Justin, can you expedite the cleanup? Get a small truck and chipper with a 2 man crew rolling during high season? Climber makes the mess, groundie stacks and supports climber, cleanup team finds piled brush and blows the joint clean, you gather up more work, troubleshoot and problem solve? Then when you get even more busier, put a for sale sign out and call bartlett or davey :D

You need to hire Brian to bring his truck up...he's in the mood for cooler weather right now, I betcha :).

Now, which kick azz climber and groundie can we line up for you...?

Actually, Paul makes a good suggestion re the cleanup crew.
