Day two of a lot clearing. Burning all the bullshit which is nice and a change of pace. Some really nice trees coming out 110' hickory maybe 24" but straight first branch is 40-50'. Some nice logs in the making.

finally got a conversation with a portable sawmill guy. He was worried about access for me. Told him I got a 60x60 parking lot, can’t get much better than that. I need to send him some measurements but from a rough figure I have over 3500 board feet of clear poplar, 1000 of clear wild cherry, few hundred white oak, and a shit ton of ash. I plan on the ash being used as work bench tops. Also a splicing bench.

Turn the ash into cants and stock pile them. It won't be long before they will command high dollar.

18 fruit trees pruned solo. Im whooped and still running. Stopped for a bite. Then pick up the kiddos at youth group. Then off to my mom and dad's to drop Lilly off. Night deposit, then home.

Took down a small oak, trimmed a heap of lower dead branches of a really big pine. Trimmed another small oak & maple and some lower branches off a Chinese Elm.

Lucky I forgot to take my pole saws or I'd still be there. Got to go back and do the dead pin oak branches and grind some stumps Monday.

More work on an asset protection zone around a water treatment plant. Hot work in the sun even when using a excavator for the main grunt work. Picked up this on the weekend from Gulgong.

I'll only really be taking 1 horse most of the time but for fire evac reasons I wanted to be able to take2 horses. We teach our horses to straight and angle load

What ever a trailer is rated at....say two four or six.....divide by two and thats how many horses will load without trouble at dark after 10 hours of riding and chasing cows.

It is simply a question of training, Jim.
Lots of people only load them up, when they are going somewhere.
That is like only training martial arts when you are in a fight.

I don’t blame them! Prolly a rough ride! Trailer’s aren’t made for hauling horses while chasing cows!😜
