How'd it go today?

Beating my head against a solid object, as usual. Trying to figure out what is wrong on a tractor starting system. Two 6 volts in series. One is newer. Checked and cleaned all connections. Checked battery voltage when cranking - both drop to 4v. Usually one battery is the culprit, although it is better to replace them in pairs. Maybe they are both bad, dunno. They charge up to normal voltage fine, but not enough kick. Starter and solenoid appear to be solid. Love this stuff.

Did some reduction pruning on some crabs this morning (hard to tell on the pics with the twigs in the background), along with some other misc stuff. Spent three hours at that site. Since I was in the area I went to the first closest next job. Finished 3/4's of it, just gotta chip and drop four more tiny Cherrys in the a.m then to another medium Hickory take down.

Had a good day, worked solo, relaxed, and great weather.

Where is everybody today? I just got back from picking up my truck from the mechanic's and there are NO new posts in the last hour and a half. :( I can't remember the last time I've seen that during the day.

I was noticing it was deader n shit yesterday.

We're all afraid to post anything, or read any posts, or look at the pictures...don't want to jam up the server with too much bandwidth.

:P;):D

I just heard Nick's mother died. Reach out to him folks; he is not only an awesome splicer, but he truly embodies the love we all should extend to one another.
A very sweet, giving, knowledgeable, caring human being.
RIP Mrs Araya

Very sorry Nick, never anything that is right to say in these instances.
Got my visitors today, guess they might be back in three or so days. I've got to get some more wood.

Thinning ponderosa, leaving sugars and some oaks. Picked up my 026 I got off flea bay.
Took down a fish hook shaped pondo about 50' tall and took out my pole saw I thought I had placed out of the way out. Bent the shaft right in between the power head and shaft coupler. OUCH. It also had a kind of cork screw in it. Trying to get out from around two large pondo and get some light. It hung up and I started to walk it down. It came loose and I made a quick exit. Damn fish hook top reached around the backside of where I had propped up the pole saw, snagged the bar and it slide out from behind the hiding place. DOH! :|:
So most the days limb ups were with the Marvin. No biggie, but dang :(
At least my stable is growing and I won't need it for almost a week for any volume.

Our rainy cold day turned warm and sunny. Then my groundy got run over by the brush cart, fell off a little retaining wall, mashed his hardhat into the fence, had the loaded brush cart land ontop of him and was stuck till cody got him out. He is a bit sore but I think he will be fine.

Willie, hope your guys is ok!
Cursed, no, I haven't applied there but I know the tree work is WELL handled by Rupert and his guys. For other jobs there, I honestly haven't looked, don't think I could handle living on the island at the mercy of BC Ferries. ;)

I turned my new guy onto the house so if another crazy canuck signs up, y'all can blame me. Lol.

Going strong here still, but eating up work fast. I'm only a little over a week out so I'mma gonna start advertising more this year.
