How'd it go today?

B.Sed with a local dirt guy that I know through a friend of a friend today, ended up getting a part time job operating equipment for him and spent the afternoon ripping around on dirtbikes and showing him stuff about his machines that he didn't know they could do, overall fun day, his neighbor said my truck sounds like a tractor, not sure how to take that

also, never rode a dirtbike in my life, that was a mistake, totally not shopping for one now

Neighbor lady’s pine finished going brown but she still does t want to let it go. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Lady,

Let it go

Let it goooooo

Turn away and shut the door

Let it go

Let it go

I’ll cut it and you won’t see it anymore…

Forum is running real slow…

My day went productively.

Our Subaru had displayed an intermittent scrapping noise recently. Was tied to wheel rotation speed, and application of brakes or lack thereof had no effect. It was not all that long ago, maybe 10 months, since I did a full disk and pad replacement on the front and rear.

Sounded to me like it was coming from the left front, but with my bad hearing, who knew how good that guess might be :).

Anyhoo, jacked up that corner, put trans in N, spun the wheel and got a small amount of drag noise. Like thin metal scrapping. Pulled the wheel, the caliper, the pads...all good. Close inspection on the inner side of the disc face turned up a small slim piece of rock about the size of a dime, maybe 1/4 inch thick had gotten trapped between the disk and the inner disc shield.

Fortunately, no damage at all to the disc face. Reassembly was quick, and all is silent running!

Carb issues with my elderly air-cooled Honda powered air compressor...again :). Started OK, wouldn't run unless choked. Been down this road with it several times before. Removed, disassembled, cleaned, reassembled carb. Some crud, a tiny bit of jelled gas. Running properly now!
