How'd it go today?

Easy day today.

Was supposed to climb this Oak take down, but I went there and looked at it early this morning and decided I can get the spider lift in there with a little creativity. Job was supposed to take all day, finished before lunch. Loaded up, then went a blew leaves at one property. Left early to go riding at this dudes private track in his back yard. Small as hell, cool set up though. Lighted track, grill, fire, barns, everything. Was pretty neat for a back yard gig.

Condo job tomorrow, gotta get some of my own work done before the snow starts flying.

Part came in for the heater at the rental... So my day was not quite over yet... 14.00 part and she is all done.. Happy renters ... I can dig it. I guess I will winterize the irrigation tomorrow after work.

Cleaned 13 chain saws, greased bucket truck, and tractor. Also cleaned two motor pole saws, and two blowers. Ready to role for tomorrow.

I wish we had a mini loader, or just got rid of the tractor, and got a good skid loader. An articulated loader would just make my day.

Worked a day at the condo's today. Easy day, that guy that climbed for me back a bit ground maned. Worked great, he knew the next move, didn't have to try to explain anything out of the tree, and we get along very well. Slow paced day, we did a hell of a lot more than they thought for the day, and I brought home five nice 8'6" cedar logs to add to the collection.

Had some business in Tokyo, sold a large chest at an exhibition but the finish needed some attention. No words can really describe the place. It's a clean city that just goes on in every direction with it's vastness, and how they can manage the water, electric, and sewer systems is an amazing thing. Trains and subways will get you about anywhere. It's an interesting change for a day or two, but the round trip three hours in and another three back is tiresome. The food available there is absolutely incredible, an eater's paradise. The competition is extreme, so generally if it isn't good, they don't last. Lots to look at everywhere, people busily going on their way. Ladies!

Dropped dead trees in the fire zone all day and burned the slash. HO basically making fire wood of it all. So I rented Wyatt and the splitter to them for the day while I felled and Rob brushed and bucked with me. No real targets save for live trees so you get a lot of felling practice. :) Keep stuff out of the tangle and place the tree where it is easiest to butcher.
Land owner next door to this account is selling his 80 acres. It's not all burned out. Good view. You have to run solar for electric but there is phone. 200,000.00 Bet it will come down even more by next year..

Oh Lawdy, open mouth insert foot . My dear sweet wife who means well took it upon herself to correct what she deemed a color variation on a couple of pine doors which I had stained .

Well after listening to the typical nit picking a majority of the female gender are more than capable of I told her if she could do a better job to have at .Good grief the red mahogony stain looked more like walnut after she got through with and I spent about 4 hours strippng off the damned stain off .I'd have been better off to just listen to the nagging .Oh I should have known better .

You must be a lil slow in that department AL! How many years you been hitched?:D

Next your gonna tell us you won an arguement!

Finished up for the day.

Medium Hickory take down this morning for a friends-friend. Self lowered the tops and everything, and he helped schlep everything to the chipper. Couple hours and I was outta there.

Went and started the first portion of a two day job. I did all the shrub and ornamental pruning around the house. A lot of serious cutting back/rejuvenation pruning. Tomorrow if I have help, I have to do "reductions" to three Maples shading the pool, an Ash take down, Cherry take down, and small Cedar.

Been felling large beechtrees all day in rain and hard winds.
Absolutely no fun at all.

I headed straight for the hottub, when I got home:)
