O.C.G.D. Thread, part two

That was a thought after we cut the ones on the long side. The template I made also works for the short sides so maybe when things slow up or rain day.

Thanks.
the office called the company flushcut used and of course they sold out. Quote for new ones isn’t to bad if you buy 30. Shipping is a bit high. Next price break is at 150 mats.
The boss said we will be waiting till fall before buying anyhow. He has other things in mind for right now

They said the color is a bit off on the ones you got. Something about changing the colors, not wasting what’s left, and the blend is what you got @flushcut. It’ll be at least six months till that happens again.
Carl we will be in touch. Also have a local guy selling mats ( unsure of the brand) that we will be getting pricing from. Got to give him a shot at it.

I was thinking a mottled surface would be cool. Mats would be a good way to recycle plastic, and maybe old rope. Dunno if recycled material would maintain structural integrity, but you could store a lot of waste plastic in a mat. I have a Sears powertape from the 80s or 90s that has a recycled plastic case. It's predominately grey, but has flecks of other color throughout. It seems tough, though I don't use it at work, and it's interesting to look at.

I have wanted a vice for a long time on job sites. Fenders on the trailer weren't strong enough to mount it plus it would be in the weather. Finally figured out a place to put it. Only lag bolted but for holding a saw or basic things I think it'll be all right. The vice came out of my grandfather's shop. No idea of its origins.

I've wanted a truck vice myself, and have the same mounting problem. Thinking about mounting it to a hitch, and installing it as needed. Kind of a hassle though, so I haven't pulled the trigger.

For chainsaws I just grab the bar to sharpen it. For other stuff, I'm usually contorting my body to hold something in place. Stepping on it, sitting down pinching whatever between my feet, gripping something against the tailgate, using my not quite iron grip thighs...
