How'd it go today?

Weeded, and cut the grass with the Zturn....that thing is so fun. My husband brought me home a sample pair of EarBuds ™ MP3 Compatible Earplugs soooooooooo much nicer than my Peltor Worktunes in the heat. He got this pair free, but if he wants more they would cost $40 each!

Now I'm making pizza (it's rising)....went to my son's high school graduation last night so our pizza night is off a day.

Haley and Kathleen are still in California and I have taken this opportunity to do nothing. Zip. I have been the world's biggest slacker today.

did two bids then a consult, then headed to meet my inlaws with Bub to go go the Eurofest. :) Ate good food and drank a couple beers in the sun while watching some dance troups and such, a hoot!

Long time ago,1980 to be exact I dug a pond with a 1943 D4 Cat that had a straight pipe .It would about make you deaf .

My ex,bless her heart got me a set of ear muffs that had an AM/FM radio built in .

It was pretty neat except for the fact it had a directional antenia on it . Kind of tough to shoot grade with your head twisted around to keep the music in tact .:)

My Dad had a D-4 with a blade and him and I had a D-7 with a blade. The track is so short on the D-4 it's really hard to keep your work smooth. Bigger Cat is much easier to run. Just finished getting the video and audio drivers for my computer and doing all the microsoft updates. This thing has taken all afternoon.

Actually I got pretty good on that antique Cat .Even with the low pressure La Plante -Choate hydarulics I could shoot a pretty good grade . I had a harder time on a John-Deere 450 than that old Cat .

I will agree though that longer tracks make for an easier job .Except perhaps on one old cable D8 I ran which was basically an armored tree pusher .

That thing would walk through a 30" tree but left a grade about like corduroy .It had so much power in low gear it would spin the tracks at slightly above idle .Of course the tracks were about shot with only about 1.5" of growser left .;)

Just got back from the birthday party in the park. Thunder, lightning and pouring rain! Fortunatly there was a pavillion there we moved everthing under and stayed fairly dry. 30 burgers and 4 packs of weinies, twas yummy. Then I lost a 6 foot costco table off my trailer on the way home:( $50 bucks down the drain.

Got one of most dreaded yearly jobs done today. Got paid. Picked up the Ford from the tranny guy this AM and got him paid. Felt good having her back :)
So work was off to a late start for me. :P
Had a client stop by tonight and pay me. She also had a wood stove for us :D We will probably put it in the other house.
Just need a shower and get Lilly to go down for the night and I will be able to also. :)

Picked up the climber and took him to look at my jobs to see what he thought, he was on board with everything and we submited bids to the parties. But it was LONG!! Four hours of driving around!
That and my little trip to the nudie bar last night with the neighbor, I was dragging today!! (and yes, mama said I could go before I left:P)
I came home played soccer with Bubba then we built a bird house.
I get to go fishing in the morning. Life is pretty good this weekend!

On some other forum someone is posting, "Not only did our camping trip get ruined by thunder, lightening and torrential downpour but as were driving home a large table came flying at us as we drove down the road."

Just getting in from seeing George Strait in concert. Damn nice show.

Julianne Hough was there flashing those lovely legs, too. :P

JH is a lovely piece of woman, no arguement. I have seen George perform, a number of years ago, not flashy but heck the fella has stage presence and delivers a good show. :)

Yup. At least he stuck around for nearly three hours of performing. This was after half an hour of JH, and 45 minutes of Blake Shelton. (Neither really impressed me, but country is mostly Valerie's thing, not mine. I can tolerate it okay if they're to my liking.)

The last concert we went to, the group came out, did 40 minutes, and split leaving everyone feeling they didn't get their money's worth.

I have a few other shots of the lovely Ms. Hough I'll post in the appropriate place.

kneetree, feel free to post as thou do see fit ;)

I watch that series, dancing with the hot professional dancer, I mean, dancing with the stars, for specific reasons... and it aint for the music or the hack actors / wannabe celebs that dance with the uber hot pro dancer gals. :D

Haha, trailer deck is only 8 inches off the ground, if the table isn't flattened, someone picked up a nice table for free
