How'd it go today?

Damn, that was a stoopid way to vandalize something. Any idea who's gotta grudge against you???

SPent the weekend on some salvage...a friend had some old hydro towers dropped into his property by helicopter...only the top sections were left, very good quality heavy gauge galvanized angle iron. Mr. Bermy (Bob) is a scrounger extrodinaire, we reckon aside from what we can use, we can sell some of it.
Already some of it has been used to customise the boat trailer, make raised beds for the garden...
We only have a little compressor, and it overheated so plan B was put into action, cut it all up with a grinder, used some good quality stainless steel cut off wheels, cut like butter.
Spot the crossover use of rigging kit...

No grudges that I know of. There is a new kid in the neighborhood though that spends a little too much time around here.

My trail cams went out today. One in video mode for daylight action and another with the infrared photo for the nighttime.

We need to start a company...Tree House Survellance...

Sitting at home this week, got stitches in my back from having a thingy removed, (it was getting irritated from my harness bumping it all the time) going to cobble together all my qualifications and stuff and see what Australian equivalent qualifications I can be assessed for, and what extra courses I have to take...might as well hit the books again!
Oh yeah, and do tax stuff too...

First Jay, now you, crikey! Catch that bastard!

Definite truth in that. One way to sleep better is to eliminate the threats from these total idiots. It goes all the way up the ranks to the highly dangerous individuals housed in the most controlled part of a super max, the ones that will throw their urine and feces through the feed slot and need three guards to escort them to a haircut. There are sure some angry messed up people out there.

Got my climbing saw running again decent today, I hope. I couldn't get the thing started after a few cuts in a tree yesterday. i think the carb is on it's way out, hard to find the place between lean and rich where it seems happy. I need it for a job on Saturday.

Waiting to hear about my chip truck. over $2K so far in repairs to elec, turbo, and a new injector, and now thinks a cylinder is gone. If I have to replace the engine I'm out of business for now.

Luckily I don't have too much lined up that I can't take care of using my car...:|:

I've done a little on my bicycle. No long bars, though, and no pedaling with the hooks on, or they jam into the pavement.

Well I have one of the culprits. Turns out my wife was looking in my vehicles for our checkbook. Why she turned on the key I do not know. I am still at a loss as the chipper and Boxer were dead too and both had the keys on. It may still be that new kid.

Today was pretty smooth with the chipper getting new knives, new anvil, plenty of grease and filters, a general run down. I think I found a MS 660 for $550 close to me so all in all ok today!

Maybe she turned on the key because the overhead light is burned out and thought there is a relation. Just the facts maam, just the facts....

Oh I just KNEW some wag would read it like that! :)

Didn't you know a scooter is almost as good as a wraptor? It's just the run up and launch, and quick clip in at the top that is tricky...

Damn, I just ended up on page 1000 and read about you all were doing then..

today I i sawed the crap out of an extremely hollow 40 inch red maple. It wasnt very exciting, it was leaning towards the yard, we pulled it into the woods with the truck. Really hollow though, no pics but no more than 6" of wood all the way around.

A bit of 'rec' climbing and now I am waiting for the video to optimise

I've done tree work out of a public bus back in my less then stellar days. People get mad at the smell of saw gas in a windshield washer fluid jug.

Not much today.More clean up of my junk and snaked out some logs from the woods .Yeah I did get a couple new tires for my little truck .I run a set of fat weinies in nice weather and standard skinny tires in winter .You can't run a little teeny truck with 10 inch wide tires in Ohio snow .That would be like driving on a roadway full of banana peel, greased ones at that .
