That's almost as bad the the folks with the 90 second greeting explaining to you how to leave a message, telling you how important your call is to them, how sorry they are that they missed your call and how soon they will call you back. Have a nice day.
Answering machines have been commonplace for over 30 years now. Anybody competent enough to dial your number knows how to leave a message. Keep your greeting short so you don't waste everyone's minutes as they wait for the beep to leave you a message. It isn't 'cute'.
my personal peeve is the fastnumberleavers... they talk slow about what they think is important then leave their number in a speed that would make this gal jealous

I got a 3G last week and I so far I love it. I got the Otter case for it, and it's pretty slick too. I've got all kinds of apps for fishing- sunrise/set, moonrise/set, NOAA weather, local and national radar and even Navionics. So far, so good.
