Gawd, I topped trees out on at least 3 maybe 4 Cat skidders over the years..

Not my fault. They came into into my layout to get logs when they shouldn't have.

Only one operator admitted it was their fault. The rest try to blame me.

There is a firm and unspoken rule in the woods, "You do not go into a fallers layout without stopping, waiting to let your presence be known.

Those that do not heed the unspoken rule will eventually get smacked by a tree.

Not the fallers fault.

I was on a fireground a couple weeks ago, mop up of hot spots. Ripping open logs that were burning inside.
The exhaust fans the flame. Offsider had the charged line ready to go.
Cut them open, wet them down, rake out the coals, repeat. Nothing approaching that size, thats next level!

this is some cool footage of falling timber and some heli logging, the air lifting is towards the end. there are some good size trees being fell in the video, one of them was 7 and a half foot wide on stump. i think he is in BC area.
