Aw Joel, you have my deepest sympathies.
Take an extra long hot shower with lots of soap. Heck, even grab the bottle of Dawn dish detergent off the kitchen sink and use that. You have to get rid of all traces of the oil. My worst outbreaks were when I was too tired to shower at the end of the day (yeah, you've all gone to bed dirty more than once).

Thanks.... tried a wash of vinegar as soon as I walked through the door and a hot shower following so I am hopeful I get the better of it this time and put the tecnu wash in the truck for more of the same in the am. Still tempted to eat some young shoots per the indian suggestion. Yet somehow I dont quite feel that brave.

Last week we blew a hydraulic line on the bucket while working over a neighbor's roof. I tried cleaning it with Dawn, then Purple Stuff, but there is a noticeable stain still showing up. It's about a 15' by 15' area on the garage portion of the roof. The guy's been ok about it, and he sees that I've been making a valid attempt to clean it, but now he says he's having a roofer come in to assess the situation. Looks like I may have to spring for a new roof.

Try greased lightning, its like 6-8 bucks a gallon and in my experience works really well, never tried it on a roof though.

Yup, forgot to put that in my post. That was my final attempt; simple green full strength, then rinse with low pressure hose.

I have and it sucks.
Try putting some simple green on and lightly scrubbing with a broom (LIGHTLY) then washing off, Breht.
Got the insurance adjuster out this am with the roofer. Came out fairly well, all in all. They are planning on starting the roof Wensday, then the gutters when it's not raining, Wens looks like the only day this week it's not supposed to rain for now.
The insurance guy totaled out my garage door as well, YESSSS!!!! So I am going to call around tomorrow and see what I can get an insulated door with a new opener installed for, and hopefully I'll still have enough left over to find me a patio table to replace the one out front during city wide garage sale day in a couple of weeks.

Big Silver reduction again. 4 seperate tie ins. Made 3 good shots today. Had to rope or handle every piece except over the drive.
Still down a man. 6:00pm out of the tree and left for 14 pc bucket.
KFC has changed tthe chicken or something. Best ever!
Home by 9:00, kids in bed and TH-in to wined down.
Got 2 neighbours to contact. Some days it pays to stay late, so mama and papa can see
what we can do.

Busy day here also... Ran to the DMV for the Willys title transfer... Then ran to NAPA to order parts for the Willys (I broke a couple messing with something, but hey, they needed replaced anyway ), checked on parts for the Datsun pickup we bought for Wyatt (as I installed the new master clutch cylinder and lines yesterday), hit the tire dealer and had them install the new rubber I left rims off for (and they stripped one lug bolt on my new rotor ), then headed to my parents for storm damage work. Shit broken everywhere. Probably 3 more days work over there and a friend of theirs needs some oaks removed as well. We gave him a bid on one large valley oak right before winter and he wanted to think it over Well I guess all the broken trees helped make his mind up
So I climbed a few live oaks and cut out and removed hangers. Some had to be lowered. One on the travel trailer had to be rigged off. Sliced and diced up a CA black oak that had a leader fail at the root flair. Opened our pathway up for the next visit to do the same as today further down in the property.

Stehansen... This black oak stump looks like you could get an interesting blank out of it. Do you want it?? I can pick it up in a couple weeks. Jeep was down today or it would already be here. Needed the winch. Should be some nice feathery grain in it.

Got a call from one of the local K-9 cops yesterday. He had started taking a fair size beech down in his garden and chickened out ( Or got wizer). So I wen't over and topped it for him.
Since he knows a lot of the local K-9 officers who train their dogs in the forest I run, I thought it wouldn't do my reputation any harm to show off a bit.
There was a big branch going out towards the neighbours house that needed to come off before I could drop the top. I could have roped it down easily, but instead I made a hell of a branchwalk all the way out to the tip and pieced it down on the way back.
When I came down, the guy was all: " Man, that was so cool, the way you climbed way out there. Sure glad I brought a pro in"

Too bad it took me so long to figure that out. I gave it away too cheap for most of my career and by the time I started getting anything close to a living wage I wasn't able to climb as well or as long any more.

The guy asked me a lot about how I trained my dogs, which were sitting in the back of the trucks like always.
He had seen then when he has been training dogs in the forest.

He asked me to demonstrate my trick of whistling to let them leave the truck and come to me and then sending them back to the truck.
Any day one can impress a k-9 officer with dog skills is a good day.

He had a really promising 9 weeks old german shepherd pup ( with East German heritage ( means dark and no HD)). K-9 officers really get to pick the best pups here, it is great PR for any breeder to have qualified k-9 dogs on their lists of sold dogs.

When my two big guys came racing into the yard that little one just rolled over. Took about 2 minutes , then he had figured out that Thais is the friendliest dog in the northern hemisphere and was playing with him. Lots of doggie fun.

Tiring day, not sure why, just kicked my butt.

Fixing to put together my new printer. I went to the wholesale store last night to buy ink for my 4 year old printer. $65 for ink... I look around, find an HP, all in one, Scanner, Printer, and Fax with ink for $89. HELLO! Picked that up, and in the future ink will be cheaper than buying it for my old one.

I think both are in common usage here, Stig.

Oh, and I call baloney on you saying you're just a dumb logger . You most certainly are "of the treetops"...I've seen those sequoia and redwood pictures, I know what they represent.
