How'd it go today?

IMG_1949.jpeg

Five very dry, dead ash trees dropped for a friend (older fellow). Every tree had to be rigged to pull them over.

I could tell he wasn’t up to winching the last one over as it had a good bit of back lean and took some work to get it over center. My bar just started binding in the back cut, so I left a substantial hinge and hiked around and up the hill to crank on the Come-a-Long to finish it off. He videoed as I cranked. Glad it was drop and leave - cleanup would have been a mess. 9am to noon.

Here's my after pic, since I remembered to take one. Coulda spent all day up there, maybe two to get it all laced out, but that is not in the client's budget. Nice tree though, very fun climb. Hardly noticed I was aloft over three hours. IMG_20251201_124340618_HDR.jpg

PS. @Mick! Looks like you got a nice tree today too! Right on!
