How'd it go today?

Want down to the camping property to scope things out before the upcoming holiday weekend. Lots of storm damage but not to bad. Needs mowed but it seems to remain everyday now whether we need it or not. I went on a walk about and ended up filling a grocery bag with morel mushrooms. Also ran into this fella.

He didn’t pay me no mind and was just relaxing.
Got home and mowed my lawn even though it was wet. Made dinner that tasted good but lacked presentation. Those stupid short YouTube videos make things look so easy

I had to put another hole in my belt this morning. I don't need any more wardrobe malfunctions!
Costco oatmeal is good cheap food. Mix in honey and spices like cinnamon, allspice, or clove, nuts (pecans or almonds), maybe diced apple, and add some cream, good stuff. You could stay well fed for a whole month on that for $100 or less at Costco, at least with prices around here.

Ha I have the same diet as you two. Lotta oatmeal, add cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, protein powder, coconut, chia seeds, flax seed, hemp seed, blueberries, greek yogurt, peanuts, water. Was adding pistachios until I ate so many I got allergic.

Ask Mick about his Multi One loader he had. Due to diesel contamination of the metal, I don't think you will ever get it welded 100%.
I've welded lots and lots of diesel soaked steel, it's not had if you know how to handle it

The dealer is fixing this under warranty, if it gets me a new front half of a machine, that's what happens

I just don't want to see you weld it and then later the dealer denies a warranty claim. Mick had his loader back 3 times (at least) for a cracked weld in the tank and they never did get it fixed 100%. They ended up buying back the loader after a year and a half. Then he bought an Avant.

Well remembered Brian!
Was actually a leak from the hydraulic tank.
They ended up giving me a totally new machine, I had issues with that and ended up selling it privately and starting the Avant ownership.

Ha, you just told the story as I wrote it.

They are, just called them and they said "no problem bring it by when you have time for it"
Don't let them off the hook for it! If you weld it at all on your own, then it is your problem forever after. Let them handle it under warranty and keep on them if they weld it and it leaks again.

In my opinion, take it for what it's worth, paying the price for a new machine is to enjoy the reliability and not have to pay when it does conk out. Skwerl and Mick giving very good advice from guys that have been there.

literally just said it's going to the dealer, I've welded diesel tanks many times it's not a problem, but for now it's going to stay leaking for the next month till I've got time to take it to the dealer, JFC

Yes, you're welcome. And we all acknowledge that you are the greatest welder of all time and can fix it yourself in 15 minutes. My apologies if you misunderstood my previous post as challenging your magnificence.

I try really hard to have your back and have for several years in spite of how often you shove your foot in your mouth but keep on typing. But sometimes you make it really hard to like you. Not every word posted by every person is directed as a put down to you or a challenge of your manhood or capabilities. Sometimes we just share our experiences to possibly help others make more informed decisions.
