How'd it go today?

2 pecans and and a ginko. One of the most frustrating jobs I have ever done. The guy who originally topped them must have had the same size bucket as mine. My truck had a few inches of space between the house and the tree trunks and 90% had to be roped down and would hang up several times on the way down. I would have to "escort" each limb down. I took some pictures. It paid OK. I just got the pictures, I took a few at the beginning but when we got going I had my groundie take some more and he didn't take the camera off of movie mode so I have about 8 short movies.

I noticed last night while checking through the real estate listings that the oldest tree company in town is currently for sale. I wonder if they're feeling the squish from the squisher tree service.:D

Here's a place I walk my dog at. I always mentally 'takedown' this tree everytime I walk by it. :|:

Make sure to watch "Too wong foo, thanks for the memories Julie Newmare" or something like that. Patrick Swayze and Wesly Snipes in drag is priceless!

A couple of pics of my handy work:lol:

That was great Brian:lol:
I'm going to have to get another quart of paint, it's amazing how much area there is to paint on that sucker!

I built it for him, but all he can do it tear it up or let someone use it and tear it up, more the latter, he seems to be allergic to hard work, thinks of himself as a "wheeler and a dealer" type, he sets it up and gets someone else to do the work while he has his hand out taking a cut.
He gets anyone in a tight spot and utilizes that position on them to work out a deal. Dude needed $250 NOW, had a table saw I wanted, he bought the saw I did some tree work and got the saw. One of those types. Not all bad, just no social skills and always thinking ahead about how to make the situation advantageous to him.
I might get paid for the materials, but he's already cooking in his head how he's going to stick it to me for "letting" me use the splitter this winter.
So it gets torn up, I get to fix it, it gets torn up again etc..............

That and if you deal with me you have to have a sense of humor:lol: It was supposed to originally been Mary K pink, it was $65 a quart, I got this for $33 a quart. He didn't seem to mind the Mary K, so I took a little "artistic liberty"

Today I dropped a 40 foot pine for my mother which evidently gave up the ghost from the lack of rainfall we have experianced this summer in these parts .Dry as a popcorn fart ,lots of trees have died on the vine .

My dad planted a whole grove of some type pines in 1980 the year he retired .I don't know chit from shinola about pines/firs or much of anything about trees with needles instead of leaves . They are all pines to me .

Any way I could not believe how hard that damned thing was ,Nearly as hard as an oak .I had never cut a dead standing pine in my life except this one and was very much surprised .Fact is I doubt at this time that I've tripped more that a dozen or so pines in my life time .

Saw the Doc., did the X-ray thing and found nothing, he wants to try an anti-inflamatory for the knee for two to three weeks. If nothing then I see a specialist and get the MRI to see.
