How'd it go today?

black oak turns my palms purpleish. soap and a stiff brush wont cut it, takes a couple days to wear off

I took a steak knife and gouged out an eyeball that was in my palm that kept looking at me. It left a scar like that.

I worked.
Four months of hangin' around bitching about no work, I've got nothing to say except, "I'm working"...
"dammit."

I have been slow before but now I am the most legit I have been, payroll (one person anyway), all the appropriate insurances, a chipper, a stump grinder, a back pack blower, silky handsaws and pole saw, etc. I keep thinking the next person who calls is going to get a heck of a deal on quality tree care. I have not been out of bidding to get work mode for over a month. I want to throw a few high fastballs to see if anyone swings at them. As is I am lobbing them right in the sweet spot.

I'll kill Justin later after he has forgotten all about asking me if I am working. Besides there are too many nut jobs out on the road this weekend.

NoBivy I am running Mac OSX 10.4.9 and it rocks!

I needed quickbooks to start doing payroll. My old machine would have seized up and died. If I can start keeping track of clients that would be cool too. At the very least those who have fruit trees that need annual work. It will take me a bit to figure out all I can do now. Everything is so much faster now.

Quickbooks is working good for me. The laptop is keeping things way more organized.

Cool, I may have questions for all you Quickbook users in a day or two.

She is wonderfully computer illiterate at this point. So far she has not seen broadcast TV and has had very limited computer time. She loves books though.

She hardly ever accosts us at stores wanting this or that toy she saw a commercial for. We let her watch videos. One hour a day most days and never before school. If she doesn't ask to see a video we don't offer.

TV is not your friend. It just tells you all the things that are wrong with you and all that you need to buy to be truly happy.

id have to go buy one to kill it, that would be a waste of money:)
worked on moving my winch from the old chipper to the new. nearly done before i ran out of welding wire. final tilled the garden. pulled hand fulls of weeds and drank lots of water

I actually did that once when I was a little kid with a TV me and a friend found on the side of the road. We were kind of timidly bashing it with a big stick until I gave it a good whack and the screen exploded. That scared the hell out of both of us and sent us scampering for the woods.

NWS- some swearing.
