How'd it go today?

Got pulled over today by a motorcycle cop. For some reason I have not been putting my reg. sticker on the chipper truck. It was back at the office. The tag said 2006.

Cop asked me why, I shrugged said I been busy and forgot. He tols me he could impound the truck and anything hooked up to it.

The he took my paperwork back to the radio.
When he came back he explained he was giving me a fixit ticket and that he understood I gotta make a living. told me to get outta there and take care of business and have a good day.

Real nice of him. I am grateful.

couple less syllables and you woulda had a decent haiku there Frans :)

Glad the copper left you off easy.

I was beat this morning from yesterday, decided to take the day off. Got up at 8:00ish, putz'd around till 12. Dropped off some aluminum at the welders, then went to Cabela's with the lady and her brother. Got home pretty late and started falling asleep. Noticed Jason (cybergeek) called, he stopped over for a bit until he noticed I was falling asleep :O. He's on his way home now.

I made it to Maryland with no problem. I ended up sleeping a few hours at the second rest area on the Jersey Pike. I took my time on the way here, and looped through Lancaster/Millersville PA on the way in.

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago Frans. Reminds me, I better take care of that. I irrigated my walnut orchard this morning, my stepdaugter from Portland stopped by to spend the night with us, and my sister that lives out by Brian was visiting my parents so I just had lunch with them and my other two sisters.

We got the shutters up today. Nice to have the bucket truck to help!

So far, we have not been told to leave. Shoot, it is still a tropical storm, not even a hurricane. We just had the time to put them up today. Mandatory non resident evacuations start tomorrow. We will see how it develops.

It won't even be a class one hurricane when it passes over the keys, and it looks like it will be west of Gigi so they won't get the strongest winds. I suspect they will get 50-60 mph winds tops.

Most models have it as a class 1 hurricane by the time it passes over Tampa. Stronger but still not major.

Happy wife happy life!:D

Nah I pee outside, like the dog I am.

They belong in the quotes thread............I think I'll use the second one for the next time my husband knocks on the bathroom door......

me: "Go pee outside, like the dog that you are!!"

he: "Yes, ma'am."

(I'm just fooling....he never knocks..........)

My sister told me she has some sort of steel awning that comes down and attaches over the windows with a couple of bolts for hurricanes. Sounds ugly but functional.

Seems the page count is wompass again,

Here's a job I did yesterday, wreck one euc.
Closish to the house but not really.

The homeowner roped for me and he was a freaking natural.
Of course it is his house, he understood the gravity of the rigging spar failing.
Let stuff run and everything. And he chipped and brought a helper too.

I need a bigger saw for sure.
Great practice for double cuts and the like though.
Can you see one of Hobby Climbers rope bags, It houses the tag line.

I'm feeling a bit stooged after Tommy's Tequila bar last night.
A freind's going away party, she's going to Los Angeles. God Save Her.

Today went great. Tagged the second half of this years calf crop....35 as of this morning. Maybe a dozen to go.

No one got stung (lots of wasps in the pens.) Everyone moved smooth....stayed calm. No one got kicked. Got it done while it was still cool.

Nice. :D
