Last night I guillotined the top of my foot with the trailer tailgate. Hard enough to smash the lace eyes on my boot and knock the skin off my bony foot.
felt sick the last few days, woke up today feeling like absolute crap and slept through my buddy blowing my phone up trying to get me out to help him split these logs at my house, so my day's going like crap so far
apparently my buddy decided my yard was wet enough that he wanted me up to help get his truck out when he gets stuck, didn't click in his head that theres other people that live here, with keys to my equipment, that can get him un stuck literally any hour of the day lol
other than that, things are going, work's still slow but I've done 2 bids last week, got one job, im guessing I didn't get the other job, its a job that we can only really do with a crane, 4 hour tree at most but I'm not loading a dump trailer with 30" maple rounds, and the tree is tangled in 3 or 4 others, overtop a house and shed, with nothing above the tangleage to lift pieces out with the GRCS, so you'd have to cut whole limbs, and firewood them as it hangs in the other tree, I'm just not putting myself or another climber through that, slow and dangerous considering the location, plus I won't be able to bring my machine to load wood, the crane can just set the logs straight into my trailer, easy peasy, and less than half of what I'd charge to manually do the work, but this guy is a little slow when it comes to saving his back
this is the same guy that gives himself heat stroke, after I yell at him to quit doing manual work, spent $50-100K on a machine and he refuses to let it do any work, I become an asshole at that point and he gets the idea for half an hour, I really gotta quit working with this guy

I run into a friend's uncle at the grocery store a couple of times per week. He likes to scroll on his phone in his van on the free wifi. When he does this, he looks like he's died at the wheel. I've warned him that somebody is going to call 911 on him. Tonight, I've noticed that they have a little kiosk with narcan in it. I pointed it out, and said to keep his doors locked when he's in his van, or someone is going narcan his ass in there if he's not careful.

It may be better to keep the doors unlocked so they don’t break a window trying to “rescue” him from his “overdose”. 😂. one would think that the firewood guy I know, that has no wood to sell and orders stacking up, would like the free logs I'm offering him, he keeps saying "I will be there tomorrow" but never shows up, I just offered to load the dump truck to the brim and deliver a load to his house 45 minutes away for nothing more than gas money and he sent a thumbs up

nothing spectacular, but I got a load of wood hauled off today, should have a few more this week
I really should cut these sides down about a foot, 4 foot sides are sweet, still a foot too short to chip into efficiently, and I can't load it anywhere close to full legally (and it won't dump, I had to get in there and pull about a third of this load out by hand)
its tough when you can carry 4K more than your dump trailer, but the box holds almost 2.5 times as much volume, so I can only really do half loads, but its super nice for brush

adjusted the clutch linkage on the truck, I had adjusted the linkage itself to get the 1/8" between the forks and TOB on the old clutch and hadn't adjusted it to fit the new clutch, worked fine but it wouldn't totally disengage so getting into first was tricky

laying on my back, middle of the night, phone stuck to the bottom of the battery box, me being a moron decided I wouldn't pay attention to the 10" Crescent wrench in my hand, reached up to break the linkage loose and shoved the wrench right through my phone screen, so that's a bummer, phone still works but I went from zero cracks, to 4 big cracks from weld spatter about 8 months ago, now a big asshole in my screen (asshole because my selfie camera still works)

Today, I got a statement, with finance charge, from the oil company for the oil I paid for on 12/26. I even have the receipt applying the amount to that account. It's a good thing idgaf about much anymore, or I'd lose sleep over it. As if I actually sleep.
