How'd it go today?

I'm beat!! Bad day at work, and weekend of waiting for the phone to ring to look foreward to!

Mama still oves me though:P She took us out to dinner, and got my tired intoxicated butt home, gotta love her for that:D

No disrespect, but I don't have the time to view a half hour of video. Could you please paraphrase the rigging you did?

Thanks

Go to the last part of the third video. He is using lag eye bolts and slings to attach chunks to and letting them slide off a high corner on he cuts into the stem.

Willie, Your aerator has a $5,000,000 home? WOW!

I went fishing today. Who knows-maybe I lose money more slowly that way.

Twenties. 5 fish = one tank of chipper gas and a little saw mix. Big fish won't even pick up a single anymore.

That's a cool trick, but the direction the groundies were pulling the rope made it look (to me) like the rope could roll around to the wrong side and slip off and fall on the climber's lanyard.

I think it woulda been better to cut the natural crotch on the other side - the side being pulled to. Anyone else see this?

I'm gonna try that the first chance I get, it's definitely another neat trick to have in your bag!

Watch it, Frans. You've got the "time."

I watched the first vid and agree with OM that it appears he removed the best lowering spar first. Of course, things are not always as they appear. Nice work, though. It's refreshing to see nice smooth cuts and lowering.

I bought a handful of different beers to taste at over the long weekend (taking Sat to Tuesday off as previously mentioned). I have waxed the wifes car, windexed my truck and her car windows, rain-x-ed her car windows and I am going back downstairs to wash my truck, then tomorrow I might wax it if the buffer thingie is charged up and I am motivated enough.
One beer down, a Zwyiec (pronounced jivyitz) , a polish beer.:D

I finished out a long week by trimming about 20 trees at an office building today. After the last few days, I'm whooped! I almost cut my finger with the chainsaw today (barely scratched it) and that was enough of a warning for me to stop and take a lunch break even though we only had less than an hour of work left. I'm looking forward to doing very little for the next two days since my Monday job got cancelled.

work hard, play hard... take a few days of down time RJS, sounds like you deserve it. :)

Hey, does anyone in the forum play any sports? I was thinking of trying to find a pick up soccer thing around here, havent played organized sports since my teens tho, not sure if I can keep up to the folks that have kept up with it.

I did some power washing around the house, made a  and soy milk run , and that's about it. I'm here drinking a cold one, and looking at some computer parts.

I got my truck washed and rain-x'e the windows. Recharging the thingie

to wax and buff it tomorrow.

Been a hard week. 3 days working away, then 3 days back home, including a couple of additional evening jobs. Beat, happy and enjoying a glass of vino or 2 :)

Hell I might as well buy a boat to get around in. Nothing but rain my way. Did I mention I'm sick of rain....:X

set up my inlaws with a trip to Vegas (pops in law has been promising for three years to take moms in law so I made it happen via Expedia and his credit card). Thursday to Sunday at new york, new york hotel, hoover dam trip friday, cirque de soleil tonight. 41 celsius (thats 105 F) on the strip currently, damn hot!

I ground 8 stumps today trimmed 1 bradford pear and moved some equipment back home. I'm beat, it's kind of hot here.

It's starting to dry out around here. We only had four inches last night:P

Got called in at 7:45am, ten min. fix thankfully!

Bought a new pair of "stupid boots" for work so hopefully my feet wont feel like they are broken.

I can't believe how out of shape I am!! Rode twelve miles tonight, it liked to have killed me! Hit 26mph on a sprint, not bad for the third time out this summer.

Started moving 2 days ago. Should be done tomorrow. I love the new house, and I finally have a garage! :)

A friend and I floated the Boise river with our kids. The kid and I could float that river every day I think. The water is supposed to be around 48 degrees but that didn't keep me and the kid out of the water. We hopped out of the boat and floated with our life jackets a few times. Later in the day we had a bunch friends over at our place for a barbecue. Its hot here now but my yard is fabulously shady in the afternoon thanks to my ash tree which looks great this year. Tomorrow I will lay low and recover. I bought a used canoe last week and we may put it in water for the first time tomorrow if my back isn't hurting.
