How'd it go today?

It sounds logical but I've seen many bucket operators who stop and reach up instead of bringing the bucket up another 18". I had to make a concerted effort to quit doing it.
To tell the truth it took my pea brain a while to adjust back in my pole climbing days . Instead of leaning out damned near at 90 degrees to reach the end of an 8 foot cross arm all I had to do was move a little lever . Some times old habits die hard .

hmmm. drove (rode shotgun) up to the inlaws last night, had a few bevvies and chit chat. got up around 0900 and showered up. went out for brunch (I bought) then back to the in laws for BBQ steaks, spuds, salad etc for early supper. did some computer work for my pops in law and was fed Lagavulin for my trouble. ;) Booked them a trip on expedia to Vegas (including shuttle ride to and from their hotel (NY NY), bus tour to hoover dam and a cirque de soleil show) in a couple weeks (pops in law has been promising moms in law for a couple years), got home, had some supper, helped wash the boy and now I am here, briefly before bedtime. :)

I got a letter today from Chase. Back in March they said I missed a payment, moving my loan from 0% for 12 months then 3.99% for the duration to 28.99%. I gave them a call last week (took me a bit to figure out what happened) stating that I made the payment, but their computer said there was an error. I checked the payments pending page, it showed that I made the payment, and I thought nothing more of it.

The letter said they agreed with me, reinstating my previous ARP's whoot whoot!

Chase has a reputation for being brutal to their customers on stuff like that. Glad it worked out for you. Seems like all the banks are getting rather creative in finding ways to charge us more money for holding our money and/or lending us money. I check on my financial stuff almost daily since it's only a few clicks away. I'm about 2 months away from having everything paid off except my 2 mortgages and my Altec lease (bucket truck). Having everything wrapped up into 2 or 3 monthly payments certainly makes it easier to keep track of.

I had a good day. Started a 2 day job with my buddy Mike. He sold a nice $4000 job with 4 removals and 4 trims. I pulled my bucket truck down the driveway around to the back of the house and got 3 of the removals from one setup. Craned most of it out and set it down behind the chipper. After lunch I knocked out 2 of the trims and started on the 4th removal when the rain moved in. So we packed it up and I have an easy morning to finish up tomorrow. He wants to pay me for 2 full days regardless. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my truck? :D

Another "easy" day flying the bucket!

TD'd a dead pine today, not very exciting. All of 40' and 20"s or so. Then did a little deadwood trim on a elm. Easy peasy.8)

guys did a couple small ones and i dug and formed a slab to work on my chipper. pour tommorrow afternoon

Long Hot day chipping, and raking all with the mini. Pay by the day. Cleaning up after a logging outfit. What a mess!

Two loads of chips and a big pile to burn in the middle of the lot. Got to finish up in the morning cause the thunder put a halt to late afternoon work. Only about an hour left.

The heat index was 115 at 2:30 today.

Put up about 60' of 4' Aluminum fencing up on a cliff side with my bro. Had to core drill them all into a concrete wall. Fun, fun. The truck said it was 106 outside when we were eating at 3. Humid as a mother today.

Just came inside from sitting on the hammock with my moms dog...we just about killed half a container of Turkey Hill peanut butter chocolate ice cream. Yummy dinner.

I gave some climbing lessons today to the lady who's technically my boss right now. She borrowed Sharron Lilly's gear... an original master saddle and true blue 12-strand. That stuff is cush on the hands!! ...but damn it's heavy. Mandi also climbed around a bit too, which was fun.

Andrew, are you just a sadist or what??...set Mandi up with an auto-advance for her friction hitch there, won't you?

If you do, she'll love you more! Pretty lady, btw.

:D
