How'd it go today?

Thinking about taking on my locust today. Everything's perfect; 52° and overcast, but I'm not really feelin' it. I finished my treesqueeze, took my throwline out of the tree since it's useless, and I'm getting my boots on to see if that sparks interest in getting up the tree, but I'm not sure yet :^/

Good grief ! If I goto the local gas station and get a scratchy or win $ at a casino as long as it’s under $600 you are NOT REQUIRED to pay tax on this “income” ... Awful sorry that in the socialist utopia you reside in that YOU have to pay tax if you find a dollar lying on the street !!! .. it’s raining / snowing so I’m going to sharpen some chains ... good day sir

consider it a learning experience ... Heaven’s knows I barely have time to correct my own mistakes ... let alone police the entire house !!!

That’s not exactly what I said, but Mick has already pointed that out.

I do consider it a learnings experience, not sure of the lesson content but it certainly has been an experience.

Now, I looked at the link @Frankie put up and he is talking about (and the link refers to) sales tax meaning money a supplier of goods or services adds on to a price which he will then give to the gubmint.

Rich was asking if you pay income tax on the cash you (exclusively) take.

I didn’t write that either, I would suggest reading the details of a post before you come with a reply. That way, the two may be relevant.

I dont pay tax on a scratch card here either, but would be subject to tax on the income I would earn for Labour, products or exchanges...

Taken Wikipedia and linked to IRS.
As it appears to be the case also in the US...
The willful failures to report tips, income from side-jobs, other cash receipts, and barter income items are examples of illegal cheating. Similarly, those persons who are self-employed (or who run small businesses) evade the assessment or payment of taxes if they intentionally fail to report income. One study suggested that the fact that sharing economy firms like Airbnb,

So it seems you also live in a social utopia.

If you want to spell it out for me, I'm listening

If you mean Frankie... no idea.

If you mean Jim, it is a line Maude Lebowski keeps saying about the doctor who is to check him for suitability before she tries to get preggers by the dude.

He goes in with a head ache and the doctor is checking his balls and prostate. ‘He is a good man, and thorough’

.... To answer your question directly ... IF I am required by law then absolutely unequivocally yes ... In Fact the “taxes” are taken weekly or in the case of my stock investments at the time of filing ... trying fishing around the bend - you might have bettter luck :D

The last name Lebowski made me figure it was movie related. Thanks

Nah, its one of those movies that most folks rave about and I somehow never got into.

I quite liked it, not to the point of some, but a good film homage to the film noir of the 30/40s.

One of those that I’d watch again. Particularly keen on Jon Goodman’s performance.

Yes Goodman was great in that role.

So many great scenes.

I thought John Tuturo was great as well as Jesus the Patter-ass.

The sound track was pretty awesome too.

Sure is. I just watched this. Amazing to see the three of them together again.

The dude turned up to play Jeff Bridges in the interview.

Sorry for the long vid but worth a watch if your a fan and have the time.
