We've been working all week at the yard cutting/splitting firewood. started off monday by getting a new 35 ton splitter only to have it break down yesterday (F!). My 28 is getting one hell of a work out! monday we cut/split/stacked 7 ricks, dont know how much since cause we havent stacked it...

Did a storm restoration trim, removed two mostly dead silver maples and planted 2 new red maple variety trees to replace the 2 we took out. Got back to the yard, split 2 rick of oak firewood and made 2 deliveries. Cold wet weather is coming in, i think the firewood is fixing to pick up a little.

Had a good hard freeze here last nite so ALL the leaves are now falling, especially the fruitless mulberrys. We had some to trim today and the leaves falling sounded like rain drops. It was pretty cool to hear. Dam leaves are the one thing i hate about fall.
