How many of you hicks know the origin of Cummins?

I got to wondering about it 2-3 years ago when I brought my Cummins Freightliner into Cummins dealer in Rocky Hill,CT. Their facility was very large and impressive, many spotless bays. They were very expensive and did an utterly horrible job which took twice as long as they estimated. They blamed it on covid manpower issues. But that's another story.

Cummins generally has a strong rep afaik. And it turns out the roots are in fact based on a mechanical genius, Clessie Cummins.
