Here in lenient commie land, we have something we use for cases like that.
In the good old days it was called psykopatforvaring, today it is just called forvaring.
That translates to " Keeping safe" and is the absolute worst punishment given.

It is for the criminally insane, and whereas a lifetime sentense eventually runs out with parole, this doesn't unless you can convince a board of criminal psychologists, that " I got better" ( Monty Python)
