put a post on a local group to see if anyone needs a part time operator, immediately get a friend request from some equipment salesman who is mutual friends with a local contractor I won't work for anymore, and one of 4 likes is another friend of said contractor, same guy who was begging me to come operate to the point I took a day off my normal job to help him, then the morning I'm supposed to meet him he texts saying "nevermind I got someone else" and when confronted about it he said "oh well, I have some logs you can come split for me to make the money you lost by taking the day off"


and yet he wonders why I told him to never call me again

we had a tree vs deere X series lawnmower fight last year, any guesses as to what a USED fuel tank cost for a 20 year old mower? $150, new equivalent (updated version, one I smashed was obsolete) was over $500
