How'd it go today?

When you let someone on psychedelics design carb gaskets with an Etch-A-Sketch. After much searching, I found a genuine Briggs gasket, and ordered it Sunday. ($18 total) Thinking it might not show up for a while, I searching the newly acquired genuine part number on Amazon, and ordered five (the minimum quantity available) for $7.59 arriving today. Not only did both orders come today, Amazon sent an extra gasket, meaning I can screw up at least six times before I have to get nervous. :/:

OK where has this 16 foot 3ft sided trailer been? we just shoved an entire silver maple, stump and all into this thing in one load and I didn't even have to dice any of it up, albeit a very dead maple that crumbled a lot as it came down, but no dicing none the less

Job specs are as follows: Remove silver maple, don't bomb the priceless saplings (dude sat through a seminar and had to file paperwork giving the trees locations and stuff to buy them, it was a big deal to him for some reason), retaining wall is being torn down anyways so bomb it, trash the yard if ya want (obviously, despite that we still didnt)

yeah, I know, I have a spliced rope but its too small for the zigzag and the eye got cut off this one, bowline will have to do for now, cinching knots hit the ZZ links

Figure 8 on a bight might be a safer choice...once in a while a bowline will collapse.

That is a big mess.
What caused the failure? Meaning wind or something, not looking to go too deep into causes Just yet.
Power line clearance trimmers hacking off one side of the tree, lack of roots on that same side of the tree due to the curb and roadway, and then a wind event hitting the exposed wide open side of the tree compromised by being planted in the wrong location.

bowline with a yosemite, figure 8 does work excellent, good point on the collapsing, I've had a few come out on me from repeated loading cycles while rigging

honestly I use it from habit, I can tie it behind my back in about 5 seconds from doing crane work, my crane tie in uses an X ring so I can't pull a knot out, although I did pick up a 1" master link to throw over the ball on big crane jobs like the one Friday

I just finished the prime directive. If I tell you the post spacing on a lawn and garden battery is 6" and the one leg on the connectors is 6" longer than the other, I think you can all figure it out.

As for sending 20 volts to the battery, it works, but seems a little sketch. Strangely, the one mower will only start at 20 volts, but once it's warmed up, self starts all day.

The neighbor lady with the tree on her roof is a cat lady. We are allergic and overrun. I saved a dead cactus to put in our bushes to discourage them. The wind blew it down and my wife stepped on the bit that came loose. Made me unpopular.

neighbor stopped by and said "I got a tree I need done, we do our own tree work but this one scares me, and the power company said to call you guys"

well, same day delivery of pre split firewood! 4 hours from bidding to getting paid and gone, no cleanup, had to ratchet strap it together, little sketchy but we got it!
