How'd it go today?

Good info re pruning etc.

The cedar in pic burned on one side, looks good now, do you expect it to do well or could it start dying back from heat/fire damage.

Well, that didn't go per plan...

What I imagined was four perfect cuts, and roll the block out on dowels. What I got was 8-10 imperfect cuts, egregious overcuts, and removal in two chunks. Nevermind the awful roof I got waaay offtrack on. No corrections. That's the kind of thing I could correct into a pile of sawdust trying to get it right. The main part's in place; the wtf hole going through the stem. Now I need to get a solar lantern or something to hang inside.

@lxskllr beard not sawdust proof like @flushcut

Took it easy today. Spent a gift certificate on wranglers at boot barn. Bought a surface prep tool (soft drum sander) for sanding saw bars, axes, axe handles, and remodel projects. N stuff.

Tonight loaded up for dry hard dirty eucalyptus firewood all day tomorrow. Didn’t get the saw sprockets and bar tips set up for .404 so just gonna waste some 3/8” Oregon semi chisel I don’t like. Maybe have a 75-80
Cc saw 4 way shootout

Crane gig?
Nah, just a few pieces of deadwood and maybe a sprig of mistletoe. The tree dropped a decent sized dead limb onto the porch a few days ago, so I'll be removing all of four branches to make the HO feel better. One of those little jobs that are the bread and butter of the business. Will definitely be a lovely climb.
