That's like 4 times as much food as a cat needs in a sitting. Quite often they can overeat and either throw up a lot or just get fat.

Made an appointment for Spot, but had to cancel. I couldn't get her in the crate. Me picking her up isn't her favorite thing anyway, and she absolutely wasn't gonna let me stuff her in a hole. I got scared and got my leather gloves cause I don't want another trip to the clinic with an antibiotic drip, and tried again. She was already not trusting me, and that last attempt blew it. I then disassembled the crate, hoping to put her in, then drop the top down, but she had enough by then, and wouldn't come to me anymore.
She's walking slightly better, but I'm pretty sure her ankle is broken. It doesn't look right. Dunno what I'm gonna do about this. If it's broken, it'll have to be fixed soon if it's gonna be professionally fixed. Otherwise, it's just a 'hope for the best' situation.

have you tried Clipnosis? its basically a "pause" button for cats via a binder/clothesline clip on the scruff of their neck

Can of wet food, or tuna, or some such. Sit calmly next to it, pet while she eats, then scruff the little butthead! Grab the back of her hips in the same scruff-grip with your other hand and now she's yours. Have your honey or a neighbor stuff a pillow case over your handful and prepare for the really tricky part, the dismount!

I didn't think of scruffing her. I'll give that some thought, and maybe try again tomorrow. I figured it would be an issue getting her in the box, but I wasn't prepared for the fight she brought. I didn't get the sharp parts, so I'm happy about that. Maybe she still likes me a little :^D

The scruff is a bit behind the neck, and some cats don't really deactivate, or keep all hooks stretched out, so getting in a crate is difficult. Bating the cage might have been best. Sometimes you can flip them on their back and slide them in, or get them forced up against the opening, and wait until they decide to go in to turn around.

On the bright side, they may consider the crate a safe place when at the vet.

FWIW, the ace type stretchy stick to itself wrap is cheaper for equine. Best part of 2x more bandage for 2.00 less in my town than the pharmacy. And comes in hi vis 😀
Beautiful day here today, finished welding some little spools this morning then assembled them this afternoon. Had a bunch of stuff all bolted in a row, so to make the hanger fit when all the gaskets are crushed i ended up slotting a couple holes. Naturally we were in an explosive area so we had to drill holes and then file it out the rest of the way. Wife was busy with orders so i made dinner, did the kids baths, and then my buddy showed up and dropped off a bunch of dead locust from a tree he did. Gotta love it when the firewood you needed gets delivered for free lol, saved me a trip. And the cherry on top was that i think i remembered who i loaned my 20 ton stubby bottle jack to, since i haven't had it I've needed it for almost everything i try to do 
Turns out the holding valve were out of adjustment and not worn out, turned up the pressure all the way, shut the pump off, held the valve open and slowly turned in the screw till the boom dropped then back a half turn, boom isn't dropping now
Running a leakdown test, just did one with the lower boom over center (testing the retract side valve) and passed, now testing the extend valve, if all checks out then we are good to go on the boom
If it passes I will leave the boom up for the rest of the day and maybe overnight to see what happens
Just stepped off the truck and scraped my shin on a step when my foot missed the step, tore a hole in my pants and leg

My very first bucket truck was an old 1988 Altec AM50 that I bought 20 years ago. I had leakdown issues with it as well and the local hydraulic shop talked me into replacing the holding valves. Of course the replacement valves were not an exact match and I had a serious drifting issue after replacement. I don't remember the cost but it was significant. After fighting the new valves for a few months I got fed up and put the old ones back in. Surprise, surprise, everything worked perfect!!!
The lessons learned hardest are the lessons learned best. At that point I quit assuming that all 'hydraulic specialists' knew WTF they were talking about and I instead began relying on my own common sense and deductive reasoning to address issues with my bucket truck.

on a good note, been 4 hours with the boom up in the air with both sections at 90 degrees and it hasnt moved an inch!
ive NEVER met a hydraulic guy that actually knew how hydraulics worked
had 2 cylinders rebuild, both times they were given back leaking and they blamed me for it, I bought fittings to add quick attach couplers to my excavator, they had the plug that came out as a reference and still messed that up (2 seperate shops)
and a few other bad experiences
at this point I only go because its cheaper than my buying the tools, but when it comes to actual knowledge, I dont go to hydraulic guys, they are worse than crane operators!
this is also why I do my own boom inspections, im the only person that has worked on this boom, and I have one of if not last shop manual in existence, so if you want specs on it you would have to ask me anyways
edit, thats a good looking old truck there Brian, my plan eventually is to either take the boom off my truck and have a mini skid platform or a small crane in its place while keeping the chip box, or sell this truck and get a grapple truck with >50ft of reach, and get a crane to pair up with it
I want a spider lift but I can ride the ball on the crane or set the basket up, plus a used 50 ton is 1/4-1/2 the price of a used spider lift!

It’s only been five years since we moved across the street. I started enough of the patio to have a landing at the back door, so finally the walkway and patio are getting done. This Spring a ‘two pond with waterfall’ water feature and a bunch more gardens go in below the patio - trying to do away with grass cutting!
