How'd it go today?

Yesterday beat me! I never did eat, drank too much and just plain hot and tired!
I woke up and felt like CRAP!!! Big shock I know:roll:
Went to do some dirt work this am and broke the Bobcat right off the bat! The pivot pin bolt for the "bobtach" fell out. I'd imagine from the breaker yesterday. We found the bolt and got the pin back in, not an easy job.
By then we had had enough and called it a day! Spen three hours in the bar, got some food and sipped on iced tea. I needed that!

I hope they can figure something out for you soon Carl, sounds like it's getting worse?

I pruned a couple of fruitless pistachio trees today. Neighbor complained about a limb over where she parks her pickup gets bird doo-doo on it. Got a brush job for tomorrow.

Here ya geaux, Carl.

Five hours of pruning and removals today. I get to take a locust tree off a house tomorrow.

Crane operator gave me his Husky 336, with a "I'm sick of this thing giving me problems, it's your's". The plug wire had separated from the ignition, that's all. I'd replaced the oil pump parts for him a few months ago. Bugger to work on, but it's light and a freebie, me likes :).

I have too many chainsaws, I'm going to give something to my farmer neighbor, who is always asking how much this and that costs, but never buying. That should keep me in lettuce and cucumbers for awhile too :)

What problems does it give you, Andrew?

I just have to be real carefull. The hernia sometimes screws up even drinking water.

I had some chicken lodged a few years ago they had to remove. It was scary, I would fill up with saliva and start to drown. Had to bend over and let the saliva run back out as I couldn't puke or cough it out.

What about a vacuum cleaner with reverse suction for the food getting stuck?

Seriously, that's what they advise here for the end of the year festivities, when a thick gum like pasty rice is eaten and people die from it getting stuck, particularly elderly people.

I've never heard of such an affliction in my LIFE. Wow!

As the piece moves down I can store saliva on top of it, wait for an opening and pull it back up to spit out.

When they numbed my throat yesterday I knew I was reaching capacity when I started gargling.

The Taco Bell taco and burrito was 530 calories, milk with chocolate was 600, and the sweet tea was another 120, the cup of yogurt was 100. That's a skant 1350 calories over the past 48 hours, resting 48 hours burns about 4300 calories, for a deficit of 2950 calories. No wonder I'm hungry as hell :cry:

My wife has such an affliction . She takes something for it but I don't exactly know what it is .

Not to be mean and nasty but just facts,it normaly affects people who are a tad over weight .

Certain things such as green peppers ,rich spicey foods and things of that nature are not good for those with this malady .

Beat of luck though ,I hope you get it under control .

Sounds like what happens when the cows/calves get blocked with a hedge apple. They'll look ok....at first. If I watch they're a bit off, such as resting when everyone else is grazing. Then when they get up, they puke up all the saliva that builds up.

I know a vet who could fix you right up, Carl. Probably would be cheaper. I bet he'd even go easy on the head catch for you.

:P

Seriously, I'm sorry you're hurting. I'm hoping you're still at home. I'd hate to think of you going through that alone. Mom's are good when you're feeling bad.

You might want to think of SlimFast or Protein drinks........they might be easier till the pain from the procedure settles down.

Sorry to hear of your difficulties, Carl. It really sucks when you feel like your body is broken and you can't make it right. I hope they can come up with a workable solution to reduce or eliminate your problems.

Slow out of the gate on this one, Carl...makes a gimpy hip seem like a walk in the park.

Hope today was better and tommorrow better still.

Hope they can get you some relief Carl. Hopefully it is nothing to bad, good luck!!!!

As far as I know the worst parts are over. The only part that hurt was the scope and stretching (as best I understand it). When a blockage clears on its own (or with my help), I go right back to eating with no discomfort. I'm nearly positive I won't be having any more stretching done (assuming that's where the pain came from). If the doctor fixed it this go round, fine. The getting plugged thing is nothing compared to what I experienced last night in the bed.

I can eat wings hot enough to make me pour sweat without plugging up, I've even plugged on mashed potatoes before (although it didn't last very long). If I try eating a piece of bacon without something to drink, it's nearly a sure bet that I'll plug up. The main reason I went to the doctor was to get the chicken down the hatch, a distant second was to see if there was a way to fix it. I didn't know I'd be jacked up pain wise until I woke up.

All in all, don't worry about me, but I appreciate the thoughts :)
