How'd it go today?

I cut a couple acres of grass this morning, had an allergic reaction, left eye swole shut.

Went up to the house, took a shower and a fist full of Benadryl and took a nap. Never felt bad/sick, but my face was sore and my throat hurt. At least I'm well rested now :)

I chipped some almond brush this morning and pruned on a big and old and splitting at the crotch Modesto Ash. Worked on my truck some then went swimming. Florida weather here today. Around 102F, humid for a little while just after noon, with a few claps of thunder and then just hot after that.

Got up at 4:30 am drove 35 miles to my brother in law's house and finished roofing his North half of his house before it got too damn hot. South half we will do next weekend. Sharpened a few chains when I got home. Now its time to crack a cold Budweiser and get ready to watch the NASCAR race. GOOOO 88!!!!

Got in a fight with the wife, she was being stupid (and even admited it latter:O AND, sit down, admitted I WAS RIGHT:\:)
Got some Oak going on the grill, soaked some steaks in Amberbock and life was good!!

Ha! That reminds me of Eddie Murphy's earlier gig when he played the wife and said, "No no baby, you were right. why don't you just go to sleep.."

Tried to find an electric brake magnet for the chipper today. No luck. One side is not working the other is not.

Oh well tomorrow at the local rv place, hopefully.

Note to self: DO NOT eat two and a half ribeye steaks, a baked potatoe, and drink, after sitting on you're butt all day. Then think you can go out and ride four miles on the bicycle in 90deg weather!!!

Idjit!!

I ran around getting branches off people's roofs after yesterday's windstorm. I secured plenty of work, but oddly enough, nothing for tomorrow.

My Dad hurt his knee earlier last week and it finally hurt so bad that he had a Doctors appointment today. He was in a wheelchair and my Mom uses a walker. Took him to the doctor and then to another place to get an X-ray taken of the leg then they fed me. They really appreciated it. I"m going swimming now.

I got out the pole saw and lopped a few branches that the stone trucks tore down last week while hauling nearly 100 tons of stone for my drive .

Then,a new one to me .I rebuilt the carb on an Echo hedge trimmer . I tested it out as my hedge needed trimming anyway .Got to have one now .Sure is easier than dragging around a cord for a clipper than wouldn't do good on anything much larger than a dandelion . I believe that Echo could cut down a small tree .

4 miles.....hell, keep riding, then you'll crank 20 miles..THEN eat the steak and beer....................ride first, party later:D

I had to explain why a quote I gave over a year ago was not valid anymore and why I would not meet them in the middle of the two estimates they had.

I put 1100 on five pines some time ago cut stumps low. The local hack job tells her about a month ago that he would do them for 900 with stumps.

So now they want me to do it for a grand and throw the stumps in.

I told her I would do it, but they would have to clean up everything and I was not grinding stumps for that price.
That still was not good enough. The nerve of people

That sucks, Scott. But then again, that sounds pretty typical for what happens when somebody calls you back on a 1 year old quote.

Once again I am reminded of why I am so thankful that I don't sell retail work. ;)
