I got some good news today.
I went to the hospital for a talk with my doctor.
They are pulling me off all the meds and all my blood values are normal.
So they figure it'll stay that way for a couple of years, then the frigging leuchemia will raise it's ugly head again, and we'll have to start all over with a new type of chemo.
Kind of a Damocles sword, but till then I'm good
Now my ribs just need to grow together.
4 weeks ago I fell of a horse.
At first I thought I got off with the scare, but later it turned out I'd broken some ribs.
No big deal, after 44 years of Karate, that is hardly the first time.
But they seemd to take a looong time to stop hurting.
Then after our climbing meet this weekend, I was sitting at dinner and I sneezed.
Like REALLY sneezed..........and the whole mess came apart again.
So today I had an x-ray done; 3 broken ribs and a part of one lung pinched off.
I simply couldn't figure it out.
Normally broken ribs knit together in 4-5 weeks.
So I mentioned it to my Chemo doctor.
He said that I could blame him for that.
Turns out the the medicine, I was on, inhibits bone growth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I'm off the medicine, I should be good in a few weeks.
I was so happy to get that information.
I've really been DERPED out about those ribs.
