How'd it go today?

What a cool little dozer ... I bet it'd be easy to side-roll that puppy down the hill ... :\:

Good heavens that little thing is 9,000 pounds and over 80 horse power .Lawdy you could spin the tracks to beat the band on that thing .My little antique Oliver OC-6 is half the power and the same weight and you absolutley cannot stall it in low gear .If it could get traction I do believe it could climb a tree .

good thing is its made to give itself a level cross slope to avoid rolling it. bet its quite possible, and at the same time, bet its got a low COG.

That too with obviously the engine in the rear much like a skid loader .One problem with a narrow gauge track is the inabilty to turn a heavy load .On the other hand that little sweetie is made for narrow areas of work .

That little pea picker only has 8" of ground clearance so it's definately is not a swamper .It's a niche machine made for a specific job .

From the HO after saving a little Dogwood: "Wonderful!"

Simple removal except:
- Thick vine cover
- Head weight toward house
- 30+ MPH wind
- Narrow drop zone
- Precious Dogwood in drop zone

What was the round deal on the side cover of your saw?
Good eye, Willie ... caught me cheatin' :D
It's a Bullseye Level ($2.89@HomeDespot). Tried it about 6 months ago & liked it. :)
It assures dead level cuts every time -- EZ PZ ;)

Yeah, I know  ... I still like it :P

I had a pleasurable day of being in the presence of one of every kind at the DMV where all the tellers are filled with not one ounce of emotion.

Had to take the test for the CDL permit, then looked at a few jobs.

Good deal on getting your CDL. It's a pain in the ass but it will pay you dividends the rest of your life. Once you get it, NEVER let it expire.

I've got to find an "affordable" course. Good thing with those is that you practice, and test on their truck. Problem is, it cost about 3k.

I have friends with trucks, but I'm not sure the truck would pass one of the DMV nazi's inspections. Then open up a can of worms for them.

I can easily get a class B truck, but getting the class A so I can drive everything. Will do hazmat and tanker after that too.
