Cherry coming out here too... Your's are prettier right now though. I love the magnolia. I miss them from down south in Nicks neck of the woods. Don't have many if any I have ever seen around here.
Its Mariposa Ag Tour time... Every year about this time it is time for the ag tour. Here is the web site. If anybody is around here late April, it is a good time for all
The daffodils are just now starting to come out .Some of the trees are pushing leaves .Beech trees hang on to their leaves all winter until the new in the spring .Some of the oaks do also to a lesser extent . That gives the squirrels something to build nests with .
I've noticed the squirrels are acting a bit frisky chasing each other around .I think I know what's on their mind .
Our 'giant' sequoia (can't be more than 50' tall), a european beech whch had this limb propped until last year when the cable went in, a bed of pansies, and 'taxus godoyoself' aka screw yew..
We've got daffodils in bloom, finally, something. Some sort of snow drop was alleged to have also bloomed, but was so inconspicuous as to have not made much of an appearance.
My son did his boyscout 'eagle project' at a local wildlife refuge last weekend. I came along to document it. I think I should have taken more pix of his projects and less of the wildlife. oops.
This is a rue anemone, if I remember correctly. The first three rows on my flower page were taken there also.
Daffodils are into their late stages, lilacs are in full bloom, iris have about a week left, and the trees are all just starting to leaf out.
Me too, especially the Arnold Arboretum. They had quite an interesting 'pink flamingo' Boxelder specimen I was particularly fond of, but I'm not sure if it's still in existence.
