I've never had either, but I'd love to try. I love vegetables, I just like some meat on the plate too.

So far, turnips are the only veg where I didn't get seconds.

It's been pretty warm here lately so not much cooking going on.



Can't live on salads though.



But I do eat a few.

I was a bit flappergasted when I encountred it at first in Kreta.
But with the Feta cheese, excellent olive oil and local red wine, not to mention the best fried potatoes, I've ever had. I soon got over it.
Been using Greek olive oil ever since, but never managed to duplicate those potatoes.

I am cooking a London broil and an old fashioned bread pudding with vanilla sauce.

Probably baked potato as well.

There is a restaurant in the big town to the south west that serves lobster bisque.

I dont get down there very often but when I do......I founder myself.

Its only 150 miles away.....

You need a really waxy potato for the best fried ones, there's a few tricks to it but I guess you know that.

For an afternoon snack we had kipper snacks and sardines.

We ate pretty well today. Musta been the blizzard.

I opted for homemade Reuben sandwiches tonight rather than the traditional corned beef and cabbage. My wife makes an awesome Reuben!
