I helped my wife bake a tree shaped cake for a family birthday.

Raclette.
Totally traditional. Just steamed potatoes, little pickled onions, cornichons, marinated mushrooms and melted CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife brought some Raclette cheese back from Schweiz 2 weeks ago and it was excellent.

I normally don't drink at home, but I had a large glass of Kirsch to dilute the cheese.

A digestif, as the French and French speaking Swiss say.

I'm one very full, happy Dane, right now:)

I made up a batch of chicken noodle soup for the plague infested family this morning. A few more hours and I?ll add the noodles and eat. I come inside occasionally to check on things. The wife says it?s torture smelling it cooking knowing it?s not done yet.

Apart from the chicken part, that looks yummy.

I'm making spaghetti with some of the pesto I froze for winter.

Just a simple salad to go with it.

Took my girls out for Cajun tonight. Lilly had expressed a desire to try something new in the way of fish. So, fried catfish and gator. She liked the gator, not so much the catfish. I had Jambalaya. Katy a salad. Really nice evening out together. Boys are out camping with their troop.
