Thanks Steve!
Embedding a video is not yet one of my limited computerskills.
I'm sure I'll get there eventually!
Some of the stuff Atkins did as a younger man was truly incredible, but I also really enjoy the album he made with Mark Knopfler a couple of years ago: " Neck and Neck".
Kennedy messed up that night and the next morning. I don't believe that he was a murderer who escaped justice. The man worked hard in the Senate for decades helping out poor kids, the elderly, disabled people, etc. He wasn't all good and he wasn't all bad, kind of like most people. To sit back in the comfort of your own own home and consign he man to hell for mistakes made in one 24 hour period seems wrong to me.
I do OM. What he did in the Senate helping out kids was done with other people looking. What happened in the car under the water was when no one was looking and there was no time to think. I don't think he is a murderer, I think he saved his own ass and then did what he could to cover it up. If he had notified the police right away I wouldn't have a problem with it either. This crap of changing the Mass. law about the appointment of replacement senators and then wanting to change it again to suit his purposes bugs me also. I can't believe the people of Mass. elected him all these years.
To me all his mistakes follow the pattern of human nature. Trying to conceal your mistakes is all too common. It took me a lot of years to become mature enough to the point where my first reaction is to confess and take the blame.
