Tis the season

Box alder beetles is what I've been told in years past. Harmless but annoying. They crawl into every crevice on that faces the southwest at night time. I had hundreds of them crawling around my truck all day today

They can be a bother here this time of year. We don't get them much, but several friends have issues with hundreds or thousands of the critters getting inside their homes.

They're called maple bugs here.

As a kid my dad told me they were boogley bugs and were from our home planet boogley and that when he came here from outer space he brought them with him accidentally. Ahhhh boogley bugs. What are dads for if not for filling their children's heads with nonsense.

Tried out the new grinder motor tonight. Such a huge difference over the tired, vexatious old unit that was on it. Got eight big Maples at the park lined up whenever storm-of-the-century breaks. . . calling for 60-70 MPH winds tomorrow along the lake. 25' waves predicted. Northeast is always the biggest storms up here. . .
