The Official Work Pictures Thread

We started this leaner today. We took a big hickory off this building a few weeks ago (Hurr. Irma)...this oak got damaged by the hickory and has a pronounced lean and compromised root system...out it goes.

We rigged out some big limbs today...9/16" Stable Braid, block, tenex sling, porty. Alex did a fine job running ropes...no bad rides even though they were some of the biggest pieces we have taken. We did the last few big pieces with a vertical speedline...tied at top of spar and at base. Put the chunk on a short tether and bombed away. They would crash into the bank, raise a big dirt cloud and not hit the building. Beats the heck out of negative rigging big pieces. Took 6 hours in the tree today...plan to finish the spar in the morning.

Shit wish you guys weren't so far away, just fired my "left foot man". Figured out he is doing meth, his car broke down a month ago and he has been bumming rides from us , doesn't bring any food or water to work, always wants advances.... Done with that shit. We had a new guy starting monday morning, called at 8-30 (we roll at 7) and said he could meet us on the job by 10 ??? Really on your first friggin' day???

What I wouldn't give for an employee without his head up his ass!
When I move out closer, you and me gotta play together. You know, Dave (thattreeguy) is already in KY now.

Some recent ones. Came out quite well

Might have to go back to Europe for that.
I honestly can't believe the stories you guys tell about your employees.
I've never had any problems like that and if I needed some new folks, there are plenty of hard working, clean living people to choose from.

Man, this shit could almost make me belive in socialism:lol:

Not sure about that Jed. The Swanson is the standard cut among BC fallers....and it's basically a Humboldt, but wider. No snipe. I have no need for it myself, but it's a good way to trap the log behind the stump so I've been told.

Nice vid link. How is a swanson with no snipe different than a humboldt??

Here's a handheld phone video of a vertical speedline chunk today...finished up the tree over the warehouse.
