The Official Work Pictures Thread

Nice work on the tag line, who is holding that?
Forgot to mention the customer is hiding behind the shed holding the tagline. The first day there were upwards of 8 people between the 2 yards helping out. The 2nd day was only 5. Not often I can step out of my saddle and pack up my kit without doing groundwork or paying for help.

The customer also named the price which was more than the quote in my head. I cut my own throat on alot of bids.😶

Killed a 100 foot pondo leaning at a garage today. Set up a gin pole next tree over for the logs. That and one other tree are coming out, so no biggie if I ding it a bit. Self lowered the limbs and the top as needed. Hand pitched limbs I could. We tarped the gravel because the guy is a tad anal about it. Was pushing it backing the chipper down in there and trailer catching chips. Dude rakes the gravel smooth every weekend visit. :|:
Easy clean up as you just move all the rakings onto one tarp, fold it up and tuck it in the trailer with the logs.
All chipped as we went. Tree is left at 8' for a carving. All down by lunch and started hauling stuff out. Logs came home for the mill. I'll pick up the mini tomorrow since we'll be working close by. Chipper already on the next job site. 20201105_141757.jpg 20210812_135937.jpg 20210812_135927.jpg

Finally put these down today. Tad tight. Used the forward to the back yard as a gin pole for the larger tree after zip lining brush. Then dropped spars. Long day. The fatter stem, 48" = 1k . They came off 48" at a time till we could not take a chance with the roof. 20210121_134413.jpg 20210813_135708.jpg 20210813_135825.jpg 20210813_135900.jpg 20210813_145557.jpg 20210813_145603.jpg 20210813_152010.jpg 20210813_135812.jpg

Because of the length of the Big one, drop off into the back yard, less chance of the stem breaking on impact and rolling down into his little sheds. The taller brushy one had to be felled out at an angle which placed into plumbing. Limbs about 30 foot long needed lined out anyway. Too close to structure to just drop, easier clean up. The slope was not a good place to drag brush off of when I could land it in a flat road.
Move the wood into a spot HO could process. Brush piled in his burn spot. Septic pipe he just replaced Is only about 12-18" deep on that slope on where it crosses thr back below. I know cause I snaked it for him ;)

Love me some collapsed limbs. It looked like one from the ground, ended up being six one on top of the other, biggest 18-20" at the butt.
I secured the butts first then spider monkeyed all over piecing them out bit by bit. Railway ROW just behind me.

Btw, how do you like it? I've seen them but never heard how they do.
I thought my reply posted Kyle, sorry.
It has its place. All steel though. So heat can be an issue on the bollard. More adjustable friction. Poor fair lead set up. Always been meaning to weld a better one on. Wont lift as well as a HOBBS or GRCS. but will tension.
More for removals as you need to cut a shelf for it. I have lagged it to a tree before, but still.

Yes Mick, Monterey Cypress.
The heavy snow a year ago broke a lot out and they keep collapsing as the supports are gone.
