Thais dog is training for the Iditarod or something.
For the last 3 weeks we have been working on an 8½ kilometer long cattle fence between a forest and a coastal grassland.
He runs an estimated 30 kilometers along side the ATV every day.
Not bad for a 9 year old dog.
He was very tired and lagging behind in the beginning, now he races ahead and looks back as in" Come on you slowpokes".
He has put on muscle tone and looks 5 year younger.
Eats like a bear and sleeps like dead every night.
I can't remember a job, he has enjoyed more.
Wow, you can tell that’s a puppy but also tell that it will be a big dog.. Beautiful. Is it a boy or a girl? Your wife seems at peace, enjoying the view.
Kira was 6 months old yesterday. Still having puppy moments but seems to be coming on quite nicely.
I’ve been taking her to the clay pigeon range and she doesn’t seem bothered with the noise of the shotguns.
Puppy teeth have almost gone. She seems to get amped up pretty quickly at playtime though. Enough to put some older and larger dog off. Two of the neighbours dogs just avoid her like the plague. She met her match in a 11 month old military GSD dog. Sako (GSD) is at the farm for the first year of him life. He puts other dogs off with his playfulness, not Kira though.
It is something I need to work on. She doesn’t react to much to other people and can ignore other dogs for a while but then it is like the kettle has boiled over and she gets over excited. We have socialised her quite a bit but I am hoping this will calm a bit when as she grows.
I can assure you the playfulness lasts a lot longer. Dietrich is almost two and he still gets the zoomies like an 80lb wrecking ball. He needs another GSD or dog of similar size and age to play together with. His besty was the French bulldog next door but D just got too big and the little guy got scared and can’t keep up, they are still buds but not playmates.

Since we have finished the fencing job and summer is here, I gave Thais his spring bath.
2 times shampoo and 1 time conditioner.
He was so unbelievable dirty during that job.
One day coming home, I let him out while getting the mail.
When he ran home through the pasture, the horses freaked out, because there was a black wolf on the loose.
Wasn't till they smelled him, they realized it was just their buddy, Thais.
I laughed myself sick , watching that.
Anyway, he is white, fluffy and smells good.
For a while, anyway.
I need to bathe Paisley. Waiting till we have less mud. She LOVES digging for gophers and moles.. When she lies down, she leaves a dust spot like you shook out a mop. And smells of dead rodent from time to time if she does not roll in the grass much. .
