I think Christmas and dog walks are just a have to....
Kinda hard when one can't walk.
Thais is getting cabin fever, badly.
So on x-mas evening, just before dark, when everybody are home, preparing dinner, I drove down to the forest behind my property, let him out of the truck and drove all the way through the forest.
Made for a tired and happy dog.

You have snow yet? You could hitch him up to sled, and pull you through the woods somewhere. Maybe go to grandma's house ;^)

We don't get snow much anymore. Global warming put an end to that.
And Grandma is looooong dead.
By chance I met the surgeon who operated on my foot in the forest.
He quite laughed about the fact that I had to run my dog that way.
He also took a look at my foot and pronounced it healing fine, but it'll take a while before I can walk again.

I took the ATV for a 5 mile spin in "my" forest today, to give Thais a workout.
Fine thing about being the forester there is I can get away with stuff like that.
Be one hell of a fine if I was caught anywhere else on an ATV with an unleashed dog.

Dirty, tired and happy dog!

Why the fine, cuz private property, or watershed?

I'm pretty sure he has plenty left for your winter. 🙂
Nope.
It dropped to minus 10 celcius today.
The bearing on my bar tip blew out, when I came down to the truck for another bar, the poor guy was sitting there shivering.
Fortunately I'd anticipated that and brought the late Sam's winter coat along.
He was somewhat mystified about the coat at first, but once he started warming up, he quite took to it.
