8DB43BCF-0E3C-45F1-915B-71219C033074.jpeg ... I refer to the top chain as “full-house”as do many others ... I’ve seen chain with even more cutters but have never personally used one

Short enough log, it should do fine.
10" or so.

The thing about chip clearance is for running long bars in thick logs.
Short bars, like we do here, will cut faster with standard chain, since the chips will be out of the log before they can start piling up.

3/8 still doesn't clear well in small logs from what I've seen videos of (I can't find the videos), but I recently read someone may have used a 1/2 full house for racing

What is a " small log" to you?
All of Europe run full comp.
Are you calling us stupid, Boy?

Plesa, please notice the smiley.

https://youtu.be/j-TIMDuGdNo ... Paulie running me ported 660, 32” bar 3/8 .05 STIHL RS full-house (standard from previous post) big silver maple tree ! No probs with “chip-clearance” lol .... longer bars / underpowered powerhead maybe full skip is superior? I dunno never used it ... Most (90%) of the wood I process can be cut with a 20” b/c ... occasionally a 25”-32” is called for and I’ve got that covered with a ported 660 and a ported 395xp ... ? ... how do you post utube vids here lol so a guy can just click on it ? Thanks

By small I meant around 10" like you mentioned. I had seen a video of someone testing full house 3/8 (tooth, tooth, tooth) in something like 8-14" and it was surprisingly slow. The fact that 1/2 full house seemed to be race worthy would point toward the fact that the tooth spacing is just too close on 3/8 full house VS a normal 3/8 "half house"

Go to the video link, click share under the video, click EMBED, copy the long link, post the long link.

I've tried 32" standard chain and it does fine, I just prefer full skip to save time sharpening.

Yah , on my iPhone I hit share , then copy link ... I see no Embed option ??? ... I can paste and post the link no problem - wood be cool to just have the video itself so guys can just click the icon ... I’ll keep messing around for now lol

The link alone is only that, a link to go to the server and get the data.

With embedding, the link is given with the codes used by the forum software to say that's a vid and it has to be displayed directly in the page. One code at the beginning of the link, one at the end to close the function. They are each included between two "squared brackets" if you want to look at the coding. Some other similar codes are meant to show the pics and the quotes.
If you mess up the copy-past of the embedded link and lose part of this small codes, the forum software can't recognize it (or don't want to) and the integrated display fails.

Ok , so assuming I have the link copied from YouTube - what is the process to “embed” the link ? I see the icons on the tool bar but no “embed” feature ... please excuse my lack of knowledge on said topic

1) On a computer, go to the YouTube video you want to embed.
2) Under the video, click SHARE .
3) Click Embed.
4) From the box that appears, copy the HTML code.
5) Paste the code into your blog or website HTML.

By George I think I have it !!! I had to get into desktop mode - Only THEN was the embed feature available! There is an app I installed to allow me to go from “phone” to “desktop” easy peasy ... ah the marvels of technology!!!
