Frankie: Brother, that vid came out a bit jumbled. So Jack did the 461, and you did the 462, right... maybe just a straight head to head next time. Seems to be all sorts of stuff in between.

The 241's looked like the same speed, the first 461 seemed faster than the 462 (was it stock?). I see now in the description, so a stock 462 is about as good as a 101 ported 461? Interesting.
You need to forget using the overlap transition. Just use no transition, or leave a 2 second gap for the transition to pass.
The 461 was Extreme ported (early insane-0 according to Jack) ... I added an unlimited coil from a 460 and installed a max flow system , The 462c in this video utilized a tuned intake and tuned exhaust with STOCK porting ... it gained about 18% over stock and was behind about 12% to the Hotsaws101 build... The other vids feature the 461 Extreme and The 462c now hot-woods ported with tuned intake / exhaust ... dead even with 20”-32” bars ... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aa-02ALxJfk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>The 241's looked like the same speed, the first 461 seemed faster than the 462 (was it stock?). OH!! O.k. Frankie, I finaly figured it out.
So... first of all... my hat's off to ya for even improving on a stock saw at all. I have cylinder ported three saws in my life. One exploded. The other one got louder, and the third... I forgot what even happed to the third, but I think that I experience only the mildest "gains." Prolly just louder lol.
So, but, man, from what I could see in the vid... looks like ya get whatcha pay for with regard to the ol Jack Beelar, eh?
Yeppers ... I mod them to cut quicker with the manufacturers recommended bar lengths ... usually I get 27-30% quicker cutting over the stock Saw with the stock bar/chain - modded Saw/Modded chain I’ve gotten up to 60% quicker than an off the shelf stock Saw / stock chain ... if I need a longer bar I grab a bigger SawLotta bar for a 50cc!
Not enough bar on the 261
32" bar 50cc Echo, not my vid
