O.C.G.D. Thread, part two

My new 461 irritates me when I use it cause it still has the factory dogs. Or maybe they should be called cats...

Got this today and yesterday...First batch of goodies....four types of eye specs, neon green throw bag, steel biner, rope bag, chipper knives...all from TreeStuff.

I placed the order about 3PM ET...somehow they managed to ship the same day....crazy fast!!

The HH2 is from Paul...RopeTek zipped the order out the same day, too. I am slowly taking the SRT plunge.

The four steel twist lock biners came from ebay...somebody here told me about them...they seem like they should be great for rigging with. $9.59 each.

Question: they came with one pin for each one...the biners are drilled at an angle and the pins fit into the holes...looks like it will make a captive eye if I want to sink the pins into them. I inserted the pin in one biner to show how they work. That was not how the biner was advertised but looks to be a good feature. I have not seen pins like this as an option before...anyone seen that before? Pros? Cons?

It prevents the sling from crossloading, or catching on the gate. Good for a critical speedline application where you can't afford something unclipping itself.

We recently bought two Ford F150's to replace our aging pickup fleet. Ford was offering 0% financing for 6 years so we jumped on it. I've never been a Ford guy but now I own 3! I have to say these are much better family trucks than my regular cab GMC 2500 was.

Those are some hella terms! Did they give you a good price as well?

Gary, nice haul of stuff, enjoy! I see the rope bag there, can anyone offer a reason why rope bags never have the cordura belting extending down the sides and then to underneath the bag thus forming an "+" shape? It would be much stronger and resist blowouts along the bottom seam where the bags always seem to blow out.

We didn't get a volume discount.... We were working with the commercial salesman but I guess two is not enough to qualify. Each truck was the same price..... $36k apiece. I thought that was fair for what we got. MSRP was $42k each and we still got 0%.

Got some proper new signs for the road work we are doing at the camp spot we were felling trees at. Next set of trees are on the loop in the community. Love new gear .... :)

Things that make Stephen happy. WesSpur deliveries (bought with prize money ;) ) and a truck that drives and lights up.
