Stephen, what carabiners do you use for zipping?

Just wondered if there was a better alternative.

Peter just posted some with a captive sling held by a pin. No need to girth hitch and weaken with the tight bend. Cheap, too, but only a Canadian dealer.

Need something the lads can drive, I can't be in two places at once.

Plus I've fractured a vertebrae, so I'm on light duties for a few weeks, having the little truck means I don't have to go out every day.

I don't worry much about a captive eye.. I also don't worry about girth hitching the crab either. So I use two different brands of screw lock steel biners. The Kong from WesSpur tha Skwerl turned me on to.

Or these where the last 24 came from... Ebay guy... Good price right now.

Both are rated t 50 Kn so I can multitask them for heavy rigging.

Willie, he will be contract climbing for me over a few weeks to help with this big job. Counting me, that is three climbers. Rob and a couple guys on the ground. Then we will have a couple subs for material transport.

Attempting to lift the mini loader after the young lad tipped it over in a back garden.

Tipping the machine over was his mistake, hurting myself trying to pick it up was totally my fault.

Said hey to Dave for everybody. Love the way the trailer tows with the short wheel base flat bed.
We got rained out today on the big job so we will start in the drizzle tomorrow. Everyone is excited about all the new toys.
Still have the new white trailer to pick up in Fresno and bring home. Some funds are on hold at the bank so I have only a deposit on it.
Keep on keeping on.
New mill gets here next week. Seems it is also in Fresno and is awaiting a truck to bring it up the hill. So we wait.
