Some lumpy splices on used ropes for couple of students, gonna load them up this weekend.

40mm DMM anchor ring & XSRE Fiori SRT redirect. Spliced with type III gutted paracord. Stitched with 3 running and 3 blind stitches.

Aesthetically excellent work. I have no idea about the efficacy of the use of that cord for a redirect. If your redirect fails couldn't that dump you into a bad situation? Is that a concern?

My understanding is that the cord does nothing other than aid retrieval. The ring does the redirecting

Thanks, pantheraba - the cord is entirely there to keep the krab and ring together only. The ring does the redirect. But you're kind of right; if my redirect fails them I am in serious trouble, cord or no cord.
