This pretty much how my day went. Off to a great start. No help showed up today, so I solo'd an 70 footer next to a house. I was supposed to have 3 down. Looks like I am working Sat.

Cancelled work because it's raining. Going to buy a welding machine and finally learn how to weld.
The lad is highly experienced at welding and as I'm paying him anyway for the day he might as well teach me.

Damn, Stephen. Glad you didn't get hurt. Ramp slippage? Pin that down. Tucker had a similar problem, IIRC, not to long ago. Lucky its low-load height. I definitely have to pay attention at 42".

When I was first using a make-shift ramp out of plywood and dimensional lumber, I got a couple of big spike nails, and inserted them between the pick-up bed and bumper, through oversized drilled holes, through 2'x's that were attached to the ply. Held it in place enough, and didn't cost hardly anything. No welding. Adjustable side to side.

Not slippage Sean. Ramp broke in two. I really need to weld some ramps up. Make them slide under the trailer. Just need to make a trip into the valley for them. Plus receivables have been horribly slow.

About 4-5 hours Scott depending on the road you take. I almost msgd you and Bixy. I was supposed to go up to Rough & Ready this weekend. Have to work instead. If I had the new chipper here, I would say come on down bro. Unfortunately, with the little chipper, two climbers would over whelm it next week

Took out ten dead pines today in 90*F and 95% humidity. Seemed to be a dust magnet cause we all looked like coal miners till the skies opened up as we loaded the bobcat. That storm saved me from another 12 hour day. Took my youngest to get ice cream since my wife took the oldest to see some dance recital. I think me and Abigail had a better time.

Not today but friday.
We do this every year for a super rich client.
Cut the grass and drag it off. Cut the top of the tree on the cliff as if it were a hedge.
The view is almost worth it alone.
We take a long lunch break and enjoy the scenery.

I installed a Rig Guy system in a Green Ash tree today. The tree had been hit by lightning three years ago. The guy had it chained together, until he heard about the Rig Guy system while we were chatting one afternoon. The job went well. I'm impressed with the clean installation.
