They wont take my blood due to my Asthma... Guess they figure I might have an attack or sumtin. :roll: Navy thought the same thing when I tried to sign up when I was 18.

Well... Just caught up with 1.5 months of data entry, disassembled an old flip line for the steel clip... (and everyone that says I need a shorter flip line will be smiling
) and took some 1/2" static, the clip, and the mechanical grab I had lying about and made a 10 footer And put in an order for more goodies from WesSpur... Including a replacement 20oz bag that just split That was my fault... Shot the thing right smack into a pondo trunk not once, but twice with the big shot...same tree

I'm BEAT!! The truck didn't do worth a squat, 13.5MPG at 85-90MPH, but we made good time both ways. Decent race, but Mat was out early for a blown motor, sucked because he was on a good run
We had crappy seats, but the nice thing about Kansas speedway is there isn't really a bad seat, and they were free so.................

Raining since 5 this morning. WE needed it something awful. Took the day to work on some saws and clean up shop. Come to find out the guys miss placed a 200t on fridays job. No luck finding it yet. I hope it turns up, cause the guy that last handled it is treading thin ice already.

I had to grind a stump I made Saturday. It rained a couple inches over night so I had to make a plywood road, luckly it only took 2 sheets We didn't need the rai; we're up to 62" for the year and we normally average 55-60" for the year. I did have a job earlier this year where I used 27 sheets of plywood to make a road for the mini. It sucked doing that solo. Picking them back up sucked worse.
Regardless if it needs it or not, I'm fixing to give my truck its semiannual washing.

"Body For Life" is working!
I'm proud to announce that my cholesterol has dropped 40 points since the last time I gave blood 8 weeks ago! I attribute this to the Body For Life diet and exercise program I started 3 weeks ago. Furthermore, I haven't had heartburn since I began the program; before that, I was munching on Tums and Rolaids 4 to 5 days a week.

Heck yea! It's a lot easier to keep at it now that I can see some positive results. The first couple weeks are the hardest.

Today I was pruning a mediumish sized Silver Maple. The main center leader had been removed sometime ago, but there were alot of good sized lateral limbs left. I was working about 30 feet out from my TIP, limbwalking on a 6" diameter limb. At about head there was another limb, about 8" diameter running parralel just above the limb I was walking on. To get into position to make a cut, I threw my lanyard around the upper 8" limb. No sooner did I lean back into my lanyard and cccrrraaaaaaaaaaaack! The 8 incher I was bucked into broke off about 10 feet behind of my lanyard. I helicoptered around, twisting up in my line and lanyard, all while this 8" limb is hanging from my lanyard. I was in a pickle for a minute. I couldnt reach my hitch to descend and I couldnt muster the strength to get the limb outta my lanyard (it was heavy). Anyway, my GF came over to help, asked me if I was OK and fortunatly was able to reach up from the ground and cut enough weight of the limb so we could get it out of my lanyard so I could descend. I didnt get hurt luckily but it scared the shit out of me. Nothing like working away and crack, there you are hanging upside down with another 150 pounds of weight pulling on you. It was scary but a rush at the same time. Scary fun, like a haunted house.
Earlier in the day I was chunking down some logs in the bucket truck removing a large diseased Elm limb, and one of the logs I cut caught a low limb on the way down and bounced right at the cab of the bucket truck, had it not been for the headache rack, I would have totaled the hood and/ or windshield. Whew! Talk about close. The GF saw that one too, smiled at me and said,"you want a rope?" To which I replied, "Please".
Not one of my better days.
