How'd it go today?

Normal Monday stuff here. Look at the work order and think this seems like a nice job for the day. Wrong, we finished by lunch. Then we went and did a bit of structure clearance work. House isn’t there yet but we were told a height. Then a bit of maintenance and home. Took the boy to karate and then I finished grading around my pool once I got home. Now finished eating and getting ready to shower. Busy day but productive

Where does your drinking water come from?
Water comes from the Colorado by a large 60 mile long canal. Google up the Yuma siphon. Tap water tastes like dirt and chlorine. We RO it. Many people and places have a water truck that brings them spring or treated water once a month for drinking. We have a big SS tank upstairs at work.

If you live outside of town, you don’t get treated water, it’s straight from a canal, and must buy drinking water

I am again flummoxed by the fact that many people choose to live in a place like that; a place that basically has no potable water.

One LMFH (lawn mower from hell) has been conquered. Initially a gunked up fuel bowl and a bad o-ring. Then it was killing the battery. I found a broken wire inside a six pin connector. Then it would only start/run on ether. Tank got drained, fresh alcohol free gas was added. Carb cleaned again. Anti-backfire solenoid had no juice. Found a fuse had been moved to an empty slot. Mowing achieved.
