How'd it go today?

Found this last week. Was test driving the 7.3 to check on something I was working on and saw this in the neighbors yardfor 600.00.. 180000 on it. Katy needed something that gets better mileage than the Yukon. So we'll be selling that after I button that up. Runs great.. not much bad with it. Coupleofplug wires, an ac switch, freon, battery, brakes, cleaning, oil change. 5 speed. 2 liter.
2002 Protoge5. Kid was given the car, did not like manuel trans and let it set. 20250620_201859.jpg

I hate those things, worse than wasps or bald face hornets

I got stung/bit by probably close to 100 sweat bees the other day, didn't bother me, I've been lit up by yellow jackets a lot, they suck but doable, atleast they don't eat my house and I can knock the nests down with a pruner pole, we do get a fair bit of the red velvet ants which are supposedly one of the most painful stings on the planet, never tried it and not planning to either

Worked on the tractor again. Temperature sender or caught fire. There is no electricity going through it. Unhooked the 12v going into the cluster, no smoke. Starts with the button now. Does not charge. One day/disaster at a time with this poor old thing.

Water pump on a DT466. They make everything exactly 1/16" too small to be a decent job. IH dealer wouldn't sell is the pump they had in stock. It was $380,for something like that. They ordered an aftermarket one for us that was about $200. Thank you!

I just got home to find my microwave randomly starting and stopping. It wasn't 9n fire or glowing, so I unplugged it.

This morning I found a tube of shoe goo I didn't know I had. I just took my boots off. Both heels need to be glued.

The ghosts are busy today!

More ugly welding today.....
I finished getting the coupler set. Ground the shat out ofand painted it so as it was not as ugly.
Today I was making (welding) some ramp hooks/slots for the new ramps on the white dump trailer.
6000# 7' aluminum ramps on sale for 300.00 for the pair was too hard to ignore.
Get this done, I wont feel so old picking up the old ramps anymore
Burned up my grinder cutting the slots though. I had dropped it in the dirt, never switched off, so it ingested quite a bit. Blew it out, but the damage was done. Poor ol Makita ....
Slots are almost done. Wed I reckon 20250623_142118.jpg 20250623_142103.jpg 20250623_142108.jpg 20250623_142124.jpg 20250623_142134.jpg 20250623_154541.jpg 20250623_154546.jpg
