How'd it go today?

Good to read ya, stick around. what kinda boots are those?
Carolina's

I'm liking them, but I've rolled my ankles way more with these than any other pair of boots, between both ankles being messed up, the knee issues that followed, and being body slammed by a 60lb golden doodle sideways into my left knee, walking is getting painful

I like the wide toe box
I can't stand not being able to wiggle my toes so I made sure to get a nice wide boot, first month I could barely put them on, now they feel a half size large but oh well, I just wear slightly thicker socks and its actually quite comfortable

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
I got up at a reasonable time, hit the 38F water for 3 minutes, and then did about an hour long workout. Then I got to work on my garage remodel. Everything is getting relocated in there with some new shelving and my workbench is getting much smaller. Hopefully by tomorrow evening it’ll be put back together for the most part and I’ll have the rubber mats down. Unfortunately I have to go out in the morning to get some conduit and a new outlet. I have my chest freezer on a dedicated circuit and it’s getting moved. I have to install that before putting the safe in its new home and some of the shelving.
We did spend the evening at mom’s doing the turkey day things. It was good. She kept the kids so I have a quiet house tonight.

I aint never seen such wide open places
I lived in twentynine palms, el centro and lake shasta a few times over the years, basically just sand as far as the eye can see, 100+ degrees all summer and the one or two times it rains every year, it rains like I've never seen before, and I used to live in NW Florida!

Climbed skinny oak, with tree entry from the porch, was fun.

Little brother Dawson notified me that our jerseys came in. IMG_3158.jpg

Yeah, my bike is a vintage Honda. I do not care, I can't stand red. Teal/Turquoise is a proper color.

The jerseys where Big Dave's idea, before he yeeted himself into oblivion. Oh yeah, Dave is out of the hospital and home on the mountain. He broke C3 and C5, four ribs, and his clavicle. Gonna be a long road back for him.

Took a hike today up Lewis Creek to a couple waterfalls. Took Kavey with. It is kind of at a certain elevation change that introduce other species as you walk. So you get Tamarak and Fir mixed with Large ponderosa and Cedar. Good sized Sugar Pine. Some dogwood and alder. I think we saw a couple ponderosa that were 200 footers.
Polly wogs and lady bugs....
